I guess I was getting into too many arguments with W supporters and Christians. Don't worry, I think it's all out of my system. Also, my opinions were sometimes too challenging for some people.

Walking away from a forum is cowardly .....depending on your reasons.
I tend to be very forceful and opinionated. I do not care if I am disagreed with. I don't care if I am ganged up on. It is only the internet and only one tiny area of the internet.

I don't mind a debate either or a sledging match. It can be fun or eye-opening or a learning experience.

If you go into a forum to push your point of view and not open yourself up to reason or respect the ideology then you deserve to be minimialised, excluded or banned. The secret I guess is to choose your battles and be respectful of the ideological values without diminishing your own values too much

The thing is they're just forums on the Internet, so there's no need to take anything personally.

it's only a forum...;) I've been beat up over a couple of suggestions at the art site I hang out at, but that's 3 times in 6 years. Must be doing something right..;)

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum topic

Not really. Most people just ignored me. I can hold my own with the written word. Orally I would not do very well, which is why I write. I was at two other Asperger's forums and I found them boring. I will not mention the site names.

I am sorry about the bullying. I would have complained to the Moderators.

This site is good for ideas, which is what I am looking for. Ideas are interesting. :)

I was kicked out of an AS forum once.

It was nothing like here on WP though. It was a lot more confusing, people changed opinions all the time and wanted to represent autistic people deeper in the spectrum, although they had no idea what life was like for them.

yeah...people hate me

Though, I have to say, I tend to be one that doesn't back down very easily and well, if they didn't hate me to begin with, they surely do in the end

Oh well...far to open & honest for the NT world, clearly....

there are those that are optimistic and those that are pessimistic...

I prefer the company of neither...let all of us realists band together

Been there, done that. I even got beaten up in my boy scout troop for not owning a Mac or an iPod. IMO Macs stink because of gaming which is what I do and iPods don't get a radio unless you custom order one for a hefty premium or buy this ridiculously priced attachment that costs 50 dollars.

I innocently tried to post about an experience with a retail establishment, on a consumer complaint forum. I was astounded at how many people rushed to flame me over what I had said. I never went back there. I hope those fools get taken in by the same business!

I suffer from that trend to overly open up or post too personal stuff, in the NT mindset or ask the same questions and then called creepy or weird. I am almost totally banned there because of board fights with others. I now refrain from saying much.
I'm even scared to open up here (like you guys will never know my true name or age, muhahaha :P ), and NT boards are much worse.
