I also seem to have a great film-ographic/photographic memory that lasts years upon years, but a short term memory that definitely isn't the greatest, as I must ask a person their name over and over again until it's drilled into my brain. I remember being carried in a laundry bag as a pre-1-year old (I loved that beyond the world); falling into the "big boy toilet" by being too young and small, getting my shorts wet; crapping in the shower; the first time I wrote my name on a round, thin, plastic, tupperware top, the "n" in my name three to four sizes too large; meeting my kindergarten teacher, having to write my name, my "n" still too large; learning to speed-read an anti-piracy MPAA disclaimer on the TV (around kindergarten-1st grade, don't remember); accidentally ordering some pay-per view (I used to think it was "paper view"
) movie for somewhere about $3.50 to $5, the more probable being the former; watching a Gateway computer delivery truck come to our school; listening to a conversation between my kindergarten teacher and the assistant for "looking at the puddles to see if there is rain"; some field trip to the aquarium, and being afraid of touching the sea anemone, then crying; playing on the frozen puddles from the overnight frost, and watching a kid slip then cry; swimming in a swimming pool with one of my two, maybe three, kindergarten friends; the first days of moving away from Washington state and going to Maui; being amazed by a "green gecko,"a chameleon; using my bathroom, just to have a gecko fall on me; watching some gecko stuck in paint, I helped him by pulling his detachable tail off... I don't want to list anymore, if you cared, I think you might have received the picture now. I think I got so focused in this just to go through my old memories that have been stuck in my brain for the past 15 years.
Sorry about that.
