I need a CLEAN car, I have a problem with dirty cars. Other than some rust, some damage from the previous owner, my car is a lot cleaner than my moms 2003 buick.

Hell, I've had people my car is new and congraulate me for having a clean car.

Currently I'm hooning around on my L's in my mum's red Hyundai 'portswagon' (the 'S' fell off!): 4 cylinder. But... when I get my P's... my dad is giving me... a...

Ford XF Falcon GL Sedan, 1986 build, V6, 3.9 litre alloy II head, automatic, power steering, dual fuel, with airconditioning and electric arial. :D

In other words, it's got stang! I get a nice big engine AND it's cheap to run cos it's on gas! What can I say? Handles like a kitten... just not sure yet whether the kitten is docile or vicious!

It's white, so I'm thinking of naming her Snowflake... or Buttercup. *giggles* Can you just imagine? "Yeah, that's my Snowflake doin' burnouts!" Teehee!

What I mean is that gas means petrol here. Do some cars run on something other than gas/petrol? Are you going to be using methane or something?

Yes, here in Australia we call it "petrol" not "gas", though it is the same thing, I think.
It is getting quite expensive, I have paid up to $1.35 a litre here.
Gas, or LPG (liquid petroleum gas) is cheaper, although you need to have your car converted for this. You usually end up with an extra tank taking up a lot of room in the back of the car.
Gas puts out far less emissions than petrol.
When the car is converted, it is good to run the car back onto petrol from time to time, although I forget why. The car will run smoother on gas, but with not as much power.

Leaded petrol has been phased out, with people having catalytic converters fitted.
Now there are two types of unleaded available, normal, everyday unleaded and premium unleaded. They also have names for this, such as Vortex. Cool, hey? This is more expensive than normal unleaded (having been through more filters and such).

We also have the diesel, I mustn't forget that.

Hope this has been a fair explanation. :)

Methane, cool!...But the smell.

I have heard of a product being developed called biodiesel. But it is for use only on diesel run vehicles. So, us petrol users have to wait.

Err... Methane? What's that? Some of our buses run on sugar! But yeah, umm... gas smells apparently...

Other than that, we just have unleaded petrolium, unleaded petrolium gas and diesel. Oh yeah, and like thingyo said, all the 'fancy pants' ones that do cool s**t to your car... yeah. Oh, and gas is like the by-product of petrol... or something... njeh.

Nice! How much power do you get out of that beauty now?

before the last junkyard motor popped (sigh...ghetto tuning), I was making just a hair under 300bhp. Not bad for an $85 engine block. I plan on getting another, but this time I'm not going to use so much exotic head work. I spent a pretty penny on cyl head port work and this last motor caused me to lose it all. I'm confident I can make the same power as last time, with merely bolt ons this time and just a wee bit more turbo boost. I'm going to shoot for 300hp, but I do not think this turbo has the air for it. May have to go with something larger, but I want to fully exhaust this one first.

T5s btw are nice cars. My mother has one. nice power potential, but the fuel economy is piss-poor at best. YOu will only get low to mid 20s with that car, but you will get a nice 30-50hp increase. I recommend a Rica sport tuning chip and a set of GLT cams with 3" downpipe if you get one. The car will put a grin on your face every time it wants to spin the tires off on the way to 60mph :D

It's the main consituent of natural gas. It's colourless and odourless. They put the smell in on purpose as it is flammable and would be too dangerous to use otherwise, for safety reasons.

That's methane (aka natural gas). It is the byproduct of oil because the natural gas sits on top of the oil deposit when it's underground and is still relatively cheap. I didn't know that anyone had mass production natural gas cars on the market yet, much less a 1986 model.
