I'm more like the second type. Throughout my life, there have been lots of people who suddenly stopped talking to me or didn't want to be friends anymore. I must have done something 'freaking annoying' - but I didn't realise it was my fault until recently and I still don't know what I did wrong. I used to think something was wrong with other people. But if everybody keeps on rejecting me, it must be something I do.

I try to be the first type. No matter how I try to make adjustments and learn to improve my social skills, I often times find myself to be the second type. I always seems to be too late when I realize to realize my mistake. The NT's are already angry or their eyes are completely glazed over from boredom.

A good online friend and I would like to think that there is something wrong with everyone else. It’s not we that have the problem, it’s them and their refusal to see things from our point of view and accept us for who we are. Unfortunately, that's not how things work. :|

For the past ten years, I was the second type. Now that I’m older, (I’m not sure about being wiser though) I fall into the first type.

Sometimes I am aware when I'm being a nuisance and I'm aware that I'm pissing people off. BUt I can't seem to stop myself in time.

Then there are days where I don't know what the hell I'm doing. And the people around me are getting really pissed off and bored of me and I have no reason why they're scoffing at me.

So I'm both.

I've probably been the second type in my "high-functioning" days; I remember in primary school I didn't really care what I spoke of or to whom. I'd talk about the coolness of Darth Vader or Predator till..., well, no one ever told me to shut up (I think, I probably wouldn't have heard them anyway), I spoke of my interests a lot back then.

I'm sure someone has wanted to kill me before; I've wanted to kill many people.

i have been told rather than realized, and why wouldnt i admit it when i hadnt realized it at the time until i was told.

I voted first type, although my attempts to make adjustments usually fall by the way side rather quickly.

Sometimes I notice people around me getting exasperated and think "is it because of me?", but maybe they're just having a bad day, or they have their own problems. I mean, if we're that annoying, what's to stop them from complaining or walking away?

I think I'm the third type: the one who has no difficulty socializing and who no one suspects has AS.

It's wrong to think there are only two types of Aspies (though the vast majority does fall within one of these two), and even if someone on here is seen as "type 2" they will vote themselves as "type 1" to avoid admitting that they annoy people.
