I love the smell of chalkdust and dusty parking lots. That's the strangest one. But my father does as well and he doesn't have AS, in case we're making that kind of inference here.

Gasoline ( I'd stand behind cars as a kid).
finger-paint. Elmer's Glue. Rubber balls. Tires ( they smell great!). Play-dough. burning wood. lemon scented floor cleaner. new-car smell. AIM toothpaste. new books. I seem to like alot of rubber and car smells.

I neglected to mention my favourite smell - just remembered today following a new purchase. Well-read and care worn 13 year old Carpe Noctem magazines, infused with the scent of whatever their previous owners have been wearing/smoking/burning. Ahh... Gothy.

Mmm, me too.

I also find scented candles to be entertaining. I don't buy them, but I like to go to stores that carry the fancy ones and just smell each variety. Sometimes people give me weird looks for doing so.

I do that with essential oils. I go into rapture after sniffing several really good smelling ones in a row.

I like essential oils too. They can also be overwhelming. I used to buy different varieties and combine them to make my own perfumes, but I gave that up because I decided that perfumes are obnoxious. Your nose gets used to them so you can't tell if you're wearing too much.
