This is the best thread I have read on this site.

How can anyone not fight to the death to get rid of this disorder like I am?

How can anyone feel good about having AS?

It's not really a matter of feeling good about it so much as looking at the positives of it, rather than dwelling on the negatives.

One quote here is "analysing every situation and worrying over the implications". But what happens if you stop doing all that? How can you see what is going on, live, if your eyes are instead turned inwards analysing the tape of what happened a minute ago? How can you hear what's being said if your brain is full of your own loud shouting? Turn your systemising off and see what comes.

NT's are doing far less than you think. They are not watching you, analysing you, judging you. Those millisecond silences in conversation are not noticed by NT's; they are just in the flow, they are mellow with small gaps. They're just hanging, just interested in having a good time.

What does everybody take for granted? The need for friendship, close ties with family and the security of acceptance, from all people. Money would also be a nice thing, for everybody to be able to make, and spend, however we all wish to do so. Aspies and NTs alike, value close social ties and money in their pocket.

Yes, Turkish Vans, along with Siamese and Abyssinians, are the water loving kitties. Ocicats should love it too, since they are a mix of Siamese and Abyssinian.

Norwegian forest cats also like water.

Why even bother with the positives? Why not fight it? I am and have made great strides.

...the fact that a party being good is enough to have a good time at it.

Not needing to be alone so much. Being able to concentrate when people are milling around.

The biggest one I could think of...

-Not constantly thinking that you are just one tiny screw-up away from losing anyone or everyone dear in your life.
