I pace around a lot when I'm in deep thought - my favorite place to do it is the area around my bedroom with my stereo booming.

I got in trouble for pacing at work after I got really stressed out. Oh well, I didn't lose my job, and no real harm was done. I pace some. Not too much, though.

I pace while listening to my iPod and drinking something whether it be pop, juice, milk, coffee, or beer

When I was a kid I read the comics about Scrooge McDuck and his "worry room" where he wore a circle in the floor pacing around with his hands clasped behind his back.

So I did the same.

I paced as a child, sometimes just walking out of classes because it was driving me crazy. I'm better now, but my job is a desk job and on my lunches I start up like a horse going to the races. It's not uncommon for me to just run to some unknown destination before getting back in time. I figured I was just weird.

I've paced my whole life. I also flap my hands when I pace.

Whenever I have to talk on the phone (even if it's one of my really good friends or I started the call), I pace constantly. This isn't the casual, "I'm bored" kind of pacing, it's a really agitated kind. If I don't, I rock and pick at my skin.

If I am doing something like waiting for the Stinger (bus that drives around the Georgia Tech campus), I pace back and forth rather than just standing.

I pace in the house.
I pace in the yard.
I paced at school.
I pace at my friend's house.
I pace at my parent's friend's house.
I pace at many stores.
I pace EVERYWHERE!

Back in high school, one of my friends used to call me the "Insane Pacer Man."

I pace a ton when I'm on the phone for work when I'm talking, but only when I'm working from home. I would pace while I was at work, too, except that my phone is plugged in and I can't go very far. I often stand up and gesticulate wildly in the air, though.

I usually do when I have to talk on the phone to someone, because I hate talking on the phone (I stutter). That's the only situation I pace in.

i vote this thread be renamed as "Pacemakers" <.< . Jokes put aside, yeah i do pace about while waiting for the subway to come, i usually pace back and forth toward the end of the walkway. Except when i'm trying to go into a specific wagon to get straight in front of the exit ^^; . I don't mind walking in general. :o

I used to; now I just mostly dance to my music, and sit in a comfy position in my computer chair.

Do you pace around the house alot?

Pacing through forums seems more productive - change of scenery at the least.

YES! Is that an AS thing, too? I used to do it more than i do now, but still find myself doing that kind of thing for no real reason. Today i was doing it at work for about 10 minutes when there weren't many customers... Going around and around the little area with the two cash registers, tapping my hand on the corners of things as i go, lost in thought.
