I have the issue with going back to lock the door and checking my alarm multiple times.

Also, frequently when I am cooking food, I forgot whether I added an ingredient, or forget how much I've added. I get worried that I will ruin my food.

For example, if I need a teaspoon-and-a-half of a spice, I will forget whether I just added the teaspoon or the half-teaspoon.

if it is burned beyond what you can cut off, then it is ruined. Cooking is pretty forgiving and you can cover a lot of mistakes with gravy.
if you are baking, though tear off about a 12 inch piece of plastic wrap and put it over the cookbook. Take a magic marker and put a blot on each ingredient as you add it. Baking is not forgiving at all.

I have that 'locational memory' too. It is like the thought is still hanging in the air where I thought it and if I put my head back in that thought space I think the thought again.
like a whiff of perfume will take you back to when your mother wore it.

How funny...I do the same two things as well...doors and alarm clock...Now, I just gave up and never set the alarm clock...My husband would just laugh as he saw me turning on the light, checking the alarm clock, turning off the light...turning on the light, checking my alarm clock, turning off the light...it was normally a 3 time deal...

1. set alarm
2. not sure if I set it correctly or at all
3. not sure if last time I set it, I actually un-set it ...hehe...so, set it again

Usually when I got home from school in high school I didn't remember most of my day unless I was forced to really concentrate.
