With terms such as, sensory overload, meltdowns, and repeating phrases, we sound like robots, probably during a malfunction.

How do you feel? Do you agree?

I can understand philosophy, but I'm getting bored in my intro class. I can't program it, listen to it, or take it apart, so it's definitely not computer or music related. Guess it's just not my special interest.

My whole life I have felt like I was an alien, an observer not meant to interfer with others but to watch them and try to understand them. I still feel this way I catch myself watching television shows not for entertainment but to try and understand the complex relationships that are occuring on screen. I am new to the site and greatful to have finally found a place with people who know what I having been going through my whole life. It feels good to find out you are not alone.

welcome :D

I had a theory around the age of 20 that "perhaps", I was an alien anthropologist meant to record information for "home-base".I thought it might account for some of my memory issues...maybe they were taking some of the information directly from my brain for their archives...(hey,it was just a theory DR,please put away that jacket...I really look washed out in white.)

I think our alienation and some of the wacky explanations "some" of us can come up with to try and make sense of why we just never feel like we fit any where or understand human absurdities is how some of our ancestors got burned as witches and locked up as schizophrenic....alienation+imagination=pretty fricken crazy to normal folks

Sad but very true. I used to get told "you have the devil in you" when I was a kid. But stupid them, as burning the wise women healers and cats led to a virulent plague.

Under certain conditions, such as after a highly emotional event I have to go through what I call reboot, where i dont really feel anything emotionally. Till I can adjust then I can feel as normally as an Aspie can.

I feel like a robot programmed by an alien who really wasn't that good at programming.

I think to others, some of us may seem robotic. However, I don't think many of us would label ourselves as such.

Now that I think about, I don't "feel" robotic. I just can relate to them. :D

I find that after I have experienced a highly emotional state, that I have to reboot, meaning I dont really feel alot for a short time, I have to re-establish my emotional state to what it once was. I guess you would call it re-establishing my emotional equilibrium.
