So there is someone like me! Except it was the right hand and I only stopped when I was 11. I now have a bone deformation on my ring finger as a reminder. Oh well.

I sucked my pointing finger (what is that called?) until I needed braces!

Yes, I love to rub my cats fur all over the blanket so I get to cuddle it. I'm allergic to cats, so the first week or so it itches, and I cough, and if I rub it over my eyes, then my eyes start to itch.

I pretend that my blankets ARE cats. I bunch them up, Also I use the security blankets to stabalize my neck and shoulders etc, because they sag down when I sleep, I stole my baby sisters blanket back, because she doesn't care about my 2010 Olympics Sumi blanket yet, and it's all goobery from dirt and stuff (crying stains etc). So I intend to keep this dirty blanket and get her a new Sumi blanket I find on Ebay, sure it's more expensive than the rediculous price I paid for. But I needs my Sumi....

I notice also during the opening games the Sumi blanket was a popular costume as a cape. It'll make a great Raver costume too, if I want to go all geeky candy kid. So yeah I'll get my sis a new Sumi Blanket that's even more softer. (it's a fleece, but it's orginal feecy has been fleeced out. I used it this summer. I couldn't help it. It' just looked so comforting.

I love how Autistics are discribed as "innappropriate" attachment to objects. Sumi "Shi-" because it's these comfort items that help humanize us, to keep what is beautiful. And ha ha ha I'm such a mean brother. Don't worry Sis It'll get you a Sumi again.

I used to sleep with a stuffed animal in my twenties and early thirties. I think that this stopped at some point after I had kids. (After I first married, it was my husband, me, and a stuffed cat in the bed).

My three-year-old needs his yellow raincoat when he feels anxious. He chews on the right sleeve and it looks terrible. (He sometimes insists on wearing it in public, and people probably think that I'm too cheap to buy him a coat.) My mom wanted to throw it away when he wasn't looking, and I said-NOOO! He has had anxiety attacks over not wearing the thing when he wants to.

Anything that has a Kinks log that's wearable would be my security blanket. Money is also another one.

I have a teddy bear I cuddle up with, although a large pillow will suffice in a pinch. When I go to someone else's house for the night, I ask for extra pillows for this purpose. I used to rock myself to sleep every night when I was a child, but I mostly grew out of that behavior, and now I only rock myself to sleep when I have had a particularly stressful day. - LJS

Where I come from a nappy is a diaper. 8O

I have a heavy tiger blanket. I use it as a weighted blanket. I can only sleep with it. I also have a 'comforter' which is a very soft purple pillow someone gave me when they felt sorry I hadn't received any Christmas presents from the event we were at.

I also have a stim toy that is a Doctor Who sonic screwdriver with UV light.

Then there's my two cats.

I feel naked if I don't have a sidearm on me or within easy reach but I don't remember anything like that from my childhood

I can't sleep without my sleeping bag. Before I got it, I couldn't sleep without a blanket of some kind,

My feather down pillow, I don't sleep without it.

If I plan to sleep anywhere but home, the pillow comes too!
