Categorically yes. Sudden loud noises are a bane, and certain loud noises I am aware are coming are just as bad. Though I am less concerned about loud noise if I am making it.

Same here!! ! I jump when the noice is loud. Everyone thinks I get scared but I just get scared of the noise not the thing jumping at me. When I am loud or my really close friends are it doesn't bother me but any other time it scares me. I get headaces or ear aches almost everyday when I am in school.

Yes, loud nosies do bother me.
When I go to watch fireworks on the 4th of July, I bring ear plugs & that helps to drown out the sound.

YES! Especially high pitched ones. I have to cover my ears in public all the time and I feel like a freak because I'm the only one and sometimes people look at me strangely--especially on campus (there is construction everywhere right now) :(

Everyone had to come home from a fire work display when i was a child because i cryed with my hands over my ears untill the foster parents took me home.I remember them trying to tell me it was only fire works but i was in a state.

it would depend on what the noise is. My birds can make some loud noises, and they don't bother me. High pitched, buzzy, whizzy type noises bother me more. Those stupid "crotch rockets" make me want to scream.
Some loud noises are beautiful, though--- the sound of a musclecar is beautiful. You can hear each piston firing like a beating drum. The sound of rain is nice, too--- especially a downpour ( which gets kinda loud). I like rain.

Depends on the noise and/or source. Slamming doors are evil, but fireworks don't bother me usually (unless totally unexpected maybe). Buzzing and high noises (beeps? not sure how to say in English) can be really unbearable even at low sound levels.

And I do love silence for sure :)

I don't mind fireworks, except for those huge loud strobey thunderboomers. One time we were right underneath where they were setting them off...man...that was rough.

Just for a bit of contrast.

Loud noises don't bother me too much at all.

However, I have been playing the drums without ear-plugs for going on 12 years now. Would be surprised if I was deaf by 50, haha.
