I experienced some overloading earlier today and my posts might appear high strung right now.

I would not like to have a terminal illness. However if one dies from an illness such as cancer, then in the last few days before death, and with no hope of recovery, the illness has become terminal.

My mother died from cancer of the colon. About six months previously she was operated on in hospital and made a good recovery and returned home. About a month before she died her condition started to deteriorate, but it was not until 5 days before her death that she took to her bed permanently. Her doctor gave her morphine the day before she died, and she died peacefully at home. I never regarded her as having a terminal illness.

All things must pass topic

People! Life is short enough as it is. We are all dying, though some are unfortunately aware of their end dates. I prefer not to know.

From what I understand, breast cancer does not limit itself to the mammary tisues. It tends to spread and migrate to other vital areas.

I'll never know why women hate their breasts. :?

They feel horrible. Why would it feel nice to have two lumps of fat firmly attached to and bouncing around on your chest? It's partly a sensory issue.

Life is a terminal illness as we'll all die eventually except The Highlander. So if you want a terminal illness, then there you go. Just remember you will die at some point and you can feel sorry for yourself. Unfortunately others probably won't feel sorry for you because they're in the same position.

It just seems stupid to ask 'Who wants terminally illness?' and if its an abstract question it really annoys me. n sick of every ones abstract thinking.

I think the OP is referring to the fact that people who are dying tend to be given more respect than everyone else.

You could lie and say you have cancer. Same result without the suffering.

Fight Club is a great movie btw and everyone over 17 should watch it.

And if you can't pull that off, you can always go to prison for trying...

Fight Club is definitely not for all audiences. Not everyone over 17 would be able to tolerate it. I've seen it, obviously, but it was pretty morbid. That's not to say I couldn't appreciate the movie.

Based a book, btw.

The person in question used deceit to get money not sympathy or respect. I don't believe it is illegal to lie in order to receive either sympathy or respect.

I was being ironic anyway. I'm not seriously advocating lying about having cancer. I was making a joke about people viewing those with a terminal illness differently than other people.

No, but it sure is immoral. Morality and legality overlap, but they don't run parallel.
