I like to think before I follow/support something. Therefore I think mob mentality sucks.

Or, better stated, when you don't think like 95% of society, it's hard to be swept along with the mental flood.

As much as AS makes me lonely because I can't seem to connect with most people, I don't think I'd want to give up the "unique perspective" it has given me of the world.

The idea of going to a rock concert scares me for this reason... loads of people screaming at stuff (I hate loud noise aswell) and the idea of being in a crowd is strange to me, and when I had a birthday party, I was very annoyed, as there were three other people in my room, and I like to be with no more two at once, preferably one. The MOB idea is also one I hate, and if there was a riot, and I was in a position to deal with it, my first order would be "Gun them all down" as form what I have seen, MOBs always seem to be doing something I don't like, eg vandalism, or shouting... I never get in to a crowd actively... and while I am influenced by peer pressure, it's never in a large way. Only common sense in not to get ridiculed.

No matter how much I am told that resistance is futile, I will still fight to the death against my being assimilated.

By the way, I just got done reading Stephen King's book Under the Dome, and to me, the most frightening part of the story was the way that groups of people could be so easily manipulated. What made it even more scary is that there was nothing supernatural about it at all; it can and does happen all the time, at varying levels of intensity and violence. :(

I'm less vulnerable to mob mentality.

I am perfectly immune to mob mentalities.

I've never been a part of a mob, but there have been times where a group shares the same emotion (say your hockey team just won a big game and everyone's pleased) and i feel it too. i guess that's not being an aspie but just being empathetic.

I puke on the Masses. When people cease to be individuals and act like lemmings they are stupid and disgusting.

I've always been resistant to crowd effect and cult-think.

It constantly amazes me to the lengths people will go to lie to themselves in order to justify their actions or worldview.

"Joining in" for the sake of acceptance once nearly cost me my life, but "standing alone", when necessary, is far more natural for me.

I don't get caught in mob mentality because I see no point in it. I just think it's dumb, and people are stupid for falling for it. I mean, why can't they just use their common sense.
