sorry for your experiences with learning you have Asperger's ProtosX. The "Congratulations! You have Aspergers!" is what Tony Attwood says when he DXes a patient.
Asperger's is not like cancer, it is a way of being, not a way of dieing.
If it is not a 'good' moment, it is not a death sentance either. Think about it. How many times have you looked at the normies and thought, "damn! I am glad I am not like them!
well, you are not.
I have 'had Asperger's' all my life. I didn't know about it for 56 years, I just thought I was psychotic and had run all my life from people and places that I thought were going to put me back into the mental institution as I had been as a 18 year old. When I discovered there was a reason I had been like that all my life, it was a relief!
So, it is different things for different people.

How anyone can compare Asperger's to a terminal illness, I don't know.. but obviously some people around here do.
