Kelsi,
No, I don't imagine numbers as having colors, so I know I don't have grapheme-color synesthesia. However, after reading up on number form synesthesia last night, I'm beginning to think that I have a mild case of that. I never knew that seeing days of the week/alphabet/months in a specific spatial order qualified as synesthesia.

I'm not a synaesthete, but I know a lot of people who are. I've found synaesthesia fascinating ever since I learnt it existed.

It would be interesting to see a study on whether it is more or less common among autists.

It's more common in Aspies than in NTs.

Yes, but rather than associating a color or sound with a letter or number or something that seems concrete like that mine have genders and personalities. Numbers have genders, so do days of the week. Months and letters have personalities, some of which are real jerks and I don't like to write or say their names. Purple smells terrible. Brown is warm. Green is soft. Yellow doesn't smell unpleasant but just has an overpowering smell, like a good perfume but way too much of it. I feel mechanical noises. I mentioned this in the noises thread. Motors and low constant noises feel great. I sleep with an air compressor next to my bed.
