We just have (if the answering machine actually works):

This is the telephone of [mom and Sora]. We're currently not at home. Please leave a message.

If I had one "Hello, it's Miss Jenkins, Excuse me, But I'm not home, If you leave me your name and number, I'll be sure to block it from my phone." Because ryhming is fun. Alternatively "If you cared you'd come round and bother me, stop calling."

I've been tempted to change mine to "You know what to do!"

Mine is standerd but I heard one that goes like this:

"Hi, sorry for being unable to answer, I am making a lot of changes in my life right now, so please leave a message. If I don't return your call then you are one of the changes."

I almost died laughing.

Hello? Oh, hi, how are you? ... yeah... yeah ... uh huh. right, yep. Um, you might want to leave a message afte the beep though.

My dad never liked it and always fell for it

I'd probably fall for it... EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I know I would.
