It's valuable for a person who wishes to reform something to not care or be unaware of social opposition.

I know that people naturally do have a sense of intuition and empathy. I think that psychics (real ones, trust me I've met them) are just people with a very good sense of intuition and empathy. Once you work on your intuition and empathy more, you too will see you can get more psychic. However, I think that people like sylvia brown and john edwards are full of crap. But I have met people who truly were psychic and could tell very accurate things about you without actually involving coldreading of any kind.

"This is a discussion on Quiz for Indigos and Reptilians in the Indigo Phenomenon forums; I am curious to see the results of Indigos and Reptilians who take this quiz: http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php"

It is comforting to learn that, in the 21st century, there are people who believe that the "Reptilians" are among us. ;-)

I wonder how the developer of the aspie-quiz, a member of Wrong Planet, would feel about Reptillians taking his quiz. lol.

Reptilian is a term used to describe people who adhere to basic survival instinct and materialism. It is a symbolic term for the brain triad. Are you familiar with Michael Gurian? He is a psychologist who is trying to reform the education system because boys are lagging behind these days in school and being labeled with PDD much more so than girls. The theory is that the reptilian portion of the brain is being under valued in schools and so boys lash out in negative ways. Females have this too, although this part of our brain is smaller. Autistic females tend to have more of a boy brain though.

Reptilians are people who embrace this aspect of themselves to the point where they close off their higher consciousness. They are rebellious, angry,
and often lack focus.

Here is another thread on Indigo Society about Reptilians.

You scored 80% on indigo-factor, higher than 46% of your peers.

Yes, but it is more than that. David Icke, a conspiracy theorist, is the person who popularized the idea that there are actually Reptillian people among us. He sees them as being in charge of the supposed "Illuminati." Icke means that literally. He really believes they are Reptillian (reptillian brains, etc.).

Magnus, here is the result of my quiz. They are unsurprising to me. I have superior physical development but impaired social and executive function:

Edited to add: It occurs to me that this is sort of the ideal profile for the obsessively committed, beautiful research assistant. Too bad engineering professors are too personally deformed and immature to handle me properly.

I knew someone who claimed to be reptilian. This was many years ago, and not in the context of some social movement. He had a brain injury and said that his personality had not fully recovered, and most of his behavior was consistent with his reptile brain. He was fairly emotionless and a kind of basilisk(?) stare. But I didn't know him before his fall, so don't know if that was normal for him. It's not a stretch to imagine him basking on a rock with those unblinking eyes, watching.

I think New Agers call Asperger Phenotypes (pre-Asperger) "Indigo Children" and full blown Aspergers "Crystal Children". They have moving, inspiring renditions of AS traits to support the taxonomy. Kind of appealing, actually. Descriptions earlier in the thread.
