I have glasses and bad posture. Though, I think the bad posture is just a left over from not having a computer chair. I can control my posture when I think about it - I just don't most of the time.

I don't like pocket protectors, and have never used one (I keep everything in my pants pokets) but I'd love to wear a lab coat!

I have bad posture. I slouch like a hunchback and have minor scholiosis (yes, I can't spell it). But my eyesight's fine.

Most of the world has bad, or at least less-than-ideal posture. Isn't that why the Alexander Technique was developed?

My posture is pretty bad, but then, I’m a teenager. And I wear reading glasses.

Yes on both accounts.

I have mild myopia and rounded shoulders. I think both are hereditary.

I try to keep my back in alignment by rotating my pelvis forward (sticks my butt out) and my head up, however my body prefers to slouch. I (cat) stretch my back at least every other day, usually after tiger push-ups. Standing in the 'horse' position also forces everything into a better position, but whether it helps long-term I have no idea.

I do struggle with lower back pain, but there isn't anything to do about it. Anyway, physical pain doesn't bother me as much as everything else going on.

I think my posture is quite good apart from when I'm slouching on the sofa being lazy.

I do wonder if a higher percentage of Aspies (or NDs in general) wear glasses more than a percentage of NTs.

Lots of NTs who don't have 20/20 vison prefer contacts to glasses as they are affraid of how they will look to other people and that they may be left out if they look nerdy. On the whole I think Aspies don't worry about this so much. (but realise some do and some NTs don't )

Film and program makers, in their portrayal of nerds always like to don a pair of glasses on the nerds. Aspies appear to be more nerdy than NTs and are considered to care less of their appearance than NTs. If the film industry were to portray an Aspie they would most likely portray them as nerdy with glasses. So where does this portrayal all come from?

I have worn glasses since I was 3. I am aspie but don't consider myself a nerd and nor do others

If there is a high prevalence of aspies with poor eyes and backs, it need not be a direct connection. Instead, we tend to adopt habits which cause these problems.

I can easily imagine how reading or working on little projects all hours of the day with few breaks may lead to poor eyesight and back problems.

I have excellant posture, eyeglasses and a nicely monogramed white lab coat.

*sighs*

Two out of three is not bad.

I have excellent posture when standing but I do sit in funny positions, like across the chairs armrests (they're soft and don't bother me) and sometimes when sitting straight up for a while my back tires out and I slouch over to rest it. As for glasses I do wear contact lens most of the time.

I slouch enough for my cat to perch comfortably on my shoulders.

Yes to both the bad posture and the glasses. In a class I had last year, a girl in my group kept trying to make me stand up straight -_-.
