I really enjoyed what were called 'play sets' that many of you may not be familiar with. They consisted of a bunch of small 'poeple' and accessories so you could creat your own towns or compounds or fortresses etc. They were available in various themes like soldiers, cowboys, space colonies and the like.

Those were called Slinkys.

As a very young child I used to play with my fingers all the time! I would make a particular shape out of my hands so that they had a mouth and everything and they would talk to eachother and they had facial expressions. I called them Eaters. My mom was always amazed that I could just sit somewhere by myself and be totally entertained with just my fingers.

That reminds me of Dagget from Angry Beavers, he made a toy robot out of a thimble. He would put it on his toe, and call it "TOOEEEEBBOOOOTTT!" and make up like, fake adventures where it was the hero vanquishing some bad guy. It was lol.

Do you mean Popples?

Yes, I misspelled Popples, I think I must have been hungry because Poppets are sweets!

Dolls that were anatomically correct.

I remember I had a keyboard that once I figured it out I never used again.

Once I figured out that there was a limited amount of sounds that came out of it, that all you had to do was remember which sound was you could make a song by adding them together. And that playing any song was simply a matter of remembering those sounds not about reading music (which before I always thought of a mysterious, but after thought was actually cheating) I grew bored knowing if was simply a form of maths. And since I had a lousy memory playing it seemed pointless.

Either I'd remember the sequence or I wouldn't.

My favourite toy (and the only one I've saved) was my collection of rubber monsters. My mother bought them for me in kiosks all over Europe. If anyone recognizes them or knows anything about them, I'd be interested.

I recognize the 'horny-toad' and I think one of the creatures was called a 'snout' but the rest are a mystery to me. Interesting collection though.

I remember I used to collect Dinosaur magazines and they would give you cards that you could collect and dinosaur pieces to make a Dinosaur.

I also collected medical books that came with pieced to make a human man.

And Gnome books that came with gnomes.

Also dolls from across the world.

And sticker books.

Not because I was especially interested in those things I was just obsessed with collecting.
