Now I am curious about your previous signature.

Well, you'll get it;"I don't want to join a club that wants to have an idiot like me as a member"

Sorry, your too late. I've allready changed it. Due to some non humour people here.

Correction: Due to YOUR choice.

You might find benefit in developing an "I don't give a damn for your opinion" attitude about such things as sig lines, avatars, and so forth. Placing the blame on other people's worthless opinions (including mine) for your decisions fits only the "emo" stereotype - and you are much too sophisticated for that.

For those who were curious, his sig line read something like:

"I would not join a club that would have me for a member" - Woody Allen

Sorry, I did not mean to be harsh, but I got pissed off for only long enough to post it. Anyway, I start to like my new sig.
And to you too and your family, said in norwegian; God Jul!

I don't see how that's offensive. It was a quote by an actor.

That's way better. I think all of us should spend more time trying to refine our signitures so I for one congratulate you for being so concerned and I'm not kidding. This is perhaps the most intelligent thread of the day.

Thanx, Gary. I started out this cause I was concerned that my sig was offending. I am, in fact kind of member here, you see? And then you and others pointed out that the origin of this phrase was maybe Mark Twain, so I could not have a sig that was kind of wrong. I liked it cause I like paradoxes. The new one is more like me, it's mine anyway.

Yes, isn't that exactly the problem with discussions about avatars, viewed personal details (our locations), and the signature lines.

Every single one of those posts is outdated as from replacing the original.

I love al those things, they tell me so much about you people. It's like visiting someone at their home; just after receiving you, they'll be off to get the coffee or whatever, which leaves me wandering about, usually in the direction of the book case.
All that peripheral information provides depth to your posts.

There should be a couple of separate (maybe sort of protected) threads for 'old avatars', 'old signatures', and I could come up with a couple of other suggestions with a view to conserving some of the history of this fantastic, and already historical website.

No, it does not offend me. I don't see why it should.
