No it isn't wrong but I never would have met my best friends who are brothers with AS if I never left my house. I found them at a local card game store and we hit it off instantly because we were all outcasts.

If you hang out with geeks you'll just be another geek and not an individual.

No, you will find people like you most of the time. I am talking about teenagers with AS more than anything. We have many other interests and we are all individuals but we like some of the same things.

I need to join a club at school or something... I'm thinking I will do anime club, just because I am somewhat into anime, and don't mind most other people who are. I would join robotics, but its a little hard to meet people of the feminine kind there, I just wish there was a general tech lovers club.

To be honest I would prefer to find an NT girl, and one that would be able to understand and accept me. An AS gf doesn't appeal that much to me, as I would prefer someone who could easily meet other people for me, make my social life easier that way.

When you look at a picture of a cat and know what breed it is.

You have a record number of posts on an internet site devoted to Siamese cats.

When you look at pictures of cats on e-mails people send you and you comment on their resemblance to your own kitties.

You collect information on Roger Bannister-and you're 44 years old.

I found a good addition to this,

I think cyberscan is talking about the fact that AS is sometimes called the GEEK syndrome. Frankly, I AM unusual in that I have an innate understanding about how computers work. Nobody where I work, and in MOST places I have worked, seems to really know how locks work, or what they are for. I once removed the term "atomic" from a spec because nobody knew what it meant, and they couldn't understand any explanation. Sometimes I wonder how ANYONE gets any work done, though I HAVE seen whole TEAMS spend a year to do what I could EASILY do myself in FAR less time. I have to wonder if what some say about AS is maybe true, and THAT is why I am so different.

I do that too, that's why I am always early to a movie and get to pick the middle.

Where I live too many people come that early for movies. Plus as a student it is too expensive to be bothered with.

My youtube account is a testament to that, I have seen 16,203 videos and I can tell you right now they weren't all different.
