I guess I just don't care to be honest. Live and Let live... a phrase I stole and it seems appropriate to use now

OK, LET'S be honest! I am OK with her living! I am ok with LETTING her live! The sad part is, we have no choice..really. Not a one of us are able to make it impossible for her to get foodstamps and cash assistance, we're not able to make it impossible for her children to recieve medicaid *which they need* what's done is done. I just hope the kids are cared for properly. Eight PREEMI's.. holy hell... and one mom. I had ONE preemi, and my hands were full, plus the "preemi issues" that come up. Hard to comprehend having 8.

According to wikipedia now, it's two of her kids that have autism (one is described as speech delay + mild autism) and one with ADHD although the footnote links to an article that still says she won't disclose the nature of their disabilities.

Interesting. I wonder if it's true that they all have the same father or if this "David Solomon" character is actually several men.

You're right about us not having the FREEDOM to decide that we won't have our money STOLEN for that stupid FREELOADER! HELL, I had a problem, and I had to pay over $700 just for the AMBULANCE(which really only drove me to the hospital), and I HAD INSURANCE! THAT idiot didn't have anything, and didn't have to pay it, because people like ME paid it! Ironically, higher taxes mean higher inflation which means higher costs, so I had to pay MORE to save my life BECAUSE I paid more for her stupid, selfish, immoral WHIMS, and that allows me to pay still MORE so I can pay for her KIDS also. Who is there to pay for ME!?!?!?

BTW she didn't have 8, she had FOURTEEN!! !! !! !! !! The 8 were just the latest batch. After the first batch, maybe they should have tied her tubes! Even the SIX were TOO MANY considering she had NO resources to support them, and no desire to improve her posiition.

BTW If I DID pay for rights to her book, it would be NO MORE than 1 Million, paid at the rate of less than 56000 a year with the provision that she spend 100% of it on the kids, with a modest lifestyle, pay off ALL the hospital bills, and save 20% of her OWN money towards their college. The remainder would be absorbed into a fund to pay for OTHERS college tuition in her name. If her kids end up qualifying, they could get some of the money. That is over $19 a DAY for each kid until the age of 18! That means she could KEEP her kids, practically free of any costs, and would be MORE than fair. It also wouldn't be unfair to anyone else.

I don't think she's AS. She DOES have something wrong upstairs, though. I tend to think she's pretty badly narcissistic, perhaps with some borderline personality thrown in. Supposedly, she "has no conscience" and "lies constantly", which sounds like narcissism or BPD. Sufferers of those don't experience other people as real. Only the Self is real to them.

Narcissists are sort of detached, the other people exist in a rational sense but are not experienced as "real". Narcissists are less likely than solipsists to be raving lunatics or overintellectualized, insulated thinkers. They can appear somewhat rational, but if you spend time around them you notice that they "use" people, and that they're strangely detached. They're not absorbed by a special interest like an aspie, who gets so deep that the rest of the world fades away, but they are "not all there".

Their parents tend to be either overindulgent or too strict and authoritarian, both of which feeds the syndrome. This woman's father is from the Middle East (Arab) and her mother is from Lithuania. They may not have understood their American daughter, or written off her problems as "American kids are just self-absorbed, it's cultural". Narcissism is different from culturally caused self-absorption.

She seems not to care that her dad is risking his life as a translator in Iraq to pay her bills while she dabbles in schooling and collects welfare, none of which goes towards the bills. (She apparently has been collecting some sort of disability pension for a dodgy reason, either worker's comp or SSDI. Her mother has said that she has no idea what has happened to the money, which one estimate places at $175,000 over nearly 10 years.) Her mother largely raises the kids, pays the bills, while Dad works in Iraq for dough and she does...exactly WHAT is not clear. She seems not to really bother with the kids.

She is also obsessed with Angelina Jolie to the point that she has had plastic surgery to resemble Jolie, and she is the same age and nearly the same height, and apparently weighs nearly what Jolie weighs. She styles her hair like Jolie does, too. In her yearbook photo, she looks much more Arab, and as recently as maybe 2003 she looked much like she did in HS. She had an updo then, not the Farrah Fawcett style do.

She may be overidentifying with Angelina Jolie, possibly to the point where she has a hard time distinguishing between herself and her idol. Angelina's obsession with kids is mirrored by hers, and she has stated reasons identical to those that Jolie has stated for it, claimed a dysfunctional upbringing similar to her idol's, and chosen the same reporter for an in depth interview-Ann Curry of an American morning gab show called Today-as Jolie did several years ago, and she dressed similarly for the interview. Jolie has said that she wanted "a soccer team" (either 11 or 12 people), and this woman's intent was to have 12 kids, but two embryos divided.

That is a completely different mental disorder, and it's similar to what stalkers experience. If anybody's seen the movie Single White Female, which was made about a dozen years ago, the roommate in that movie does the same thing with her landlord, overidentifies with her to the point that she becomes her, and then attempts to kill her.

I dunno. I must be odd. I like her. And I can understand her reasoning.

I wasn't looking to FUEL my tank! HEY, if you know a mitigating factor, GREAT! Maybe I could EMPTY the tank! Frankly, I have yet to even hear about anyone that has such information. BTW NOBODY here is "out to hate her". WHY would ANYONE be out to hate ANYONE!?!?!? And if I say that grass is a plant that is usually not allowed to seed, and usually considered green, you BETTER agree with me, because it is the TRUTH! I am just going by what I see on the news and from what I have seen, she wants a big family because she is an only child and didn't have siblings growing up. I can relate. I am an only child too and wanted lots of brothers and sisters when I was young but now it doesn't matter as much to me.
From what I saw observing television reports, she was hoping that she would get a lot of the same stuff other parents have gotten by having multiples. Free diapers, free food, free housing. That sort of thing. She didn't have the babies just for that, of course, but she might have been secretly counting on getting the free stuff and support others before have recieved.
I think the Doctor who impregnated her should have to marry her, lol. Not being serious.

Actually, borderline personality disorder is a problem of a fundamental lack of a well-defined self.



BPD often means not knowing who you are, what you like, what you want, etc., feeling empty and unreal, dissociating from yourself altogether... it's the furthest thing from "only the self is real".

For Borderline, it is more like, "only the feelings are real", which is obviously very stressful to someone who has it, because not having a firm identity as an anchor for those feelings means they overwhelm very easily, leading to exaggerated expressions of sadness and anger, as well as a desperation to cling to other people who may provide part of a makeshift identity.

That's not saying that she's not borderline; she could be. I just don't see any strong evidence for it.
