Uh, yeah. That's illegal. You've got a lunatic on your hands. It's not OK to just go around pulling down other people's doors(?) and threatening them, whether for acutal or imaginary (which is what this one sounds like) reasons. Inform the police (whether or not they listen). If you have the capability, keep some video and audio recording devices around. If he calls back, record what he says. If he shows up, record that. I think this is great advice. You need evidence.
I recently bought some dashboard cameras for my car. I used
Brickhouse security. When I was looking around their website, I noticed that they have a lot of security products. You might try looking around on their website to see what they have that would help you gather evidence.
I definitely think you're doing the right thing to contact the police. Be careful -- this guy could be really dangerous. Be extra careful about going out alone at night, for example.
