i have clothes of almost every color (exept pink - i hate it)
when i worked we had to wear yellow shirts. so i have a couple but i hate yellow too

i've chosen 'Mainly greens, browns, orange" because green was always my favourite, and orange is warm to me. also i like black and white or red stripes (but not too thin). black is great too, i used to wear it alot 2-3 years ago, but now i don't have so much black clothes because of different reasons.

Yes. Clothing is almost like a "skin" for me. if it doesn't look "right", if I'm not comfortable in it, etc, it is as if I got out of bed on the wrong side, or am ill.

Interesting about uniforms. I just about tolerated the school uniform, ( which was blue ), perhaps because there were so many of us wearing it, or because it was a relief not to have to think about how to dress, but the couple of times I have worked anywhere with a uniform as an adult I have had serious difficulties with it. The biggest problem has always been the colour.

Lab Pet has green eyes, dark blonde, fair w/ yellow-ish cast, & dark thick brows. Gold & autmn colors just 'match.' A bit of Victorian flair - *slightly* goth but fairly conservative.

I do like skirts/dresses ~ < 50% & feminine clothes - but I appreciates what another wears.
Lab Pet's lab coat is white.

Black is a basic, white too. I do like prints - but quite simple/feminine & I'm petite.

I love skirts, too. If I were a guy I'd wear kilts. I like dresses, too - but sometimes is just damn impossible to find practical and cute dresses. Dresses tend to be a lot more trendy. But if I find a simple soft dress I like, I grab it up and wear it for years.

Have you ever seen NCIS? You sound like the adorable goth forensic scientist in that - with your labcoat and flair. She's too cute! (And so smart!)

I have clothes of about every colour possible, from blue and green to red to pink to yellow or black and grey.

I have favourites colours (for clothes), but I enjoy having very random colours of clothes because I grow bored easily and feel that I need to wear something differently coloured all the time.

A lot of times I wear dark colours like blue, black and brown. In the summer some lighter tients like beige and crème.

But sometimes I feel like jumping out and wear colours like red, yellow, light blue, purple. It depends a bit how I feel and if I have to go to work.

I've seen her & like her personality & style! About dresses - sometimes Travel Dresses have a nice drape, in monotones (& no ironing) & classic styles for any event. Land's End catalog has quite a selection.

I know - she looks all tough but she's really sweet and a little insecure.

You are so right about travel dresses! They cost more but you get a good one and they'll last for ever! Sometime Old Navy has nice dresses but I always destroy them because I think "oh - its just Old Navy" and get bleach on them or burn them. (That sounds more twisted than it is.)

In all honesty, I would not be surprised if I were the best dressed in my entire city. I absolutely love fashion!

Anyway, the colors I often wear the most are shades of pink, olive green, light yellow, red, and light blue. I try to steer clear of beige and brown because they look *really* bad with my skin and hair.

If anyone cares, the main trends this year are bold prints and neon designs for both genders. Yellow is the most popular overall color so far for '09.

:D

Have you seen the Devil Wears Prada a million times? I love it. Love the book more - but the movie is beautiful eye candy. And Paris looks so gorgeous in winter!

I actually haven't seen it. As much as I love fashion, ironically I'm not into chick flicks! lol

It's not a typical chick flick. You'd be pleasantly suprised. It's all about a fashion magazine. There are only a couple guys in it and they are lame or wimps. (Or gay - but they're cool) Your post reminds me a little of a non-evil Meryl Streep. Visionary! And confident! :sunny: Who knows - maybe you'll be a fabulous fashion editor someday!

The book is awesome! Check it out. Its twisted.

For about five years straight I wore nothing but green, mostly forest green but some olive. (Except for shoes, socks and underwear, which don't come in forest or olive. :( )

I still wear mostly green (matches my eyes!, plus it's soothing) but last fall I started adding muted orange back into my wardrobe, partly so I won't be shot by hunters (I'm not a bear!), partly because I felt ready for some colour in my life again (starting to see the end of the tunnel in my personal problems). Colour is definitely important to me - it feeds my soul. I'm trying to avoid brown, though. It sends the wrong message somehow. Though I do end up with enough mud on my clothes after hiking to compensate for leaving it out.

Wearing almost all green, I tend to startle people when I'm out hiking. When I stop and get off the path to let them by, they often don't see me until they come right up to me. Boo! It's not even on purpose.

One of my favorite shirts is bright yellow so, I guess I'm all set. It's one of those that I buy mailorder, sight unseen (just a listing of size, material and color). I've gotten several positive comments about it so, I guess they all want shirts like it, now. LOL.

That is odd. Where did you read/see that that is the case?

I don't read any fashion mags, ( or very rarely ), and haven't been looking at newspapers or been into more than one clothes shop in the last 6 months, ( and that one definitely didn't have any yellow in sight ), and yet yellow is exactly the colour I started, this last couple of weeks, to feel like wearing. :D

And last year I got into purple/lilac, and got the impression that a lot of people had had the same idea! 8)

I assume the "etc" on the second question to be some other dark color that is almost black like the darkest possible shades of blue, gray, green, brown or red. However I am wearing almost totally black at the moment
