I do not in any way mean to make light of your post but regular normal people have had the same experiences with violence that you have just recounted so I don't think your autism is the reason you were beaten or otherwise mistreated in life. Many of my perfectly normal NT friends suffered far more abuse and mistreatment in school than I did so I do have have a lot of sympathy for autistics who are in the 'woe is me' mode since 'life' is not smart enough to differentiate between us all.

I am pretty sure my 'hobbies', social skills, and isolation had something to do with it.
