In a comparison I prefer to say I'm time-less, because I develop and am by different standards than what is normal and thus I cannot be measured by such.

Exactly. Can I use that? I want to frame it and put it up somewhere.

Socrates' big crime was "corrupting our youth." In other words, he invited people to think, which always threatens to set them free.
I don't believe half the hype about internet safety. I believe that a few predators exist, but I think most of the hysteria is about the fear of an honest exchange of ideas. Honesty is a threat to the very fabric of society. We can't have that.

I know I'm child like. I watch children shows and teen shows. I like childish things. I still like toys but I don't like them the same way I did when I was little. I like stuff animals (never too old for those) never too old for Knex either and never too old for Spongebob because it has adult humor in it I heard. Never too old for cartoons either. Never too old for video games either or for Disney. I even like playing on the huge slide in Spokane in Riverfront Park. Grown ups play on it too and teens. Thank god there is no age limit for the thing. I think anyone can be child like, I can say parents sure are. I still like happy Meal toys.

Mostly I am on the computer and watching TV. I do that 95 percent of the time. When I was in my teens, it was video games and TV. Then when I started posting online, it changed.

I'm a very strange person. I'll tell you why:

I am 21 years old, and I talk like I'm 40, and people generally assume (prior to knowing my real age) that I am at least in my late 20s early 30s. But it's strange because when I'm around my immediate family (brothers, sister, parents, etc) I have the tendency to be very childish. I still think it's amusing to tease my 14-year-old brother, and I often take it to an extreme level by being obsessive about it, which pisses off my brother. My mom says I'm like a child.

Another thing that I find particularly interesting about me, is if I see a bug somewhere, either in my house or outside, I usually watch it and see what it does, or I stare at it for a long time and become interested in the bug as a young child would. Maybe it's related to my Asperger's, maybe it's not. But I do know that any normal adult wouldn't even think about the bug, they would either kill it, if it is in the house, or just ignore it if it's outside.

I was always very interested in the environment, such that I would observe bugs, animals and collect plants and rocks when I was younger. It seems as though I have retained this childlike curiosity about the environment up to the present day. And I don't think I will ever loose this childish sense of wonder.

My God, you quoted my inner thoughts, exactly! Writing is all I live for. It's my only defense against many trying and awful circumstances that would otherwise take me down.

There's something that happens to me quite a lot and I've got no explanation for it. I don't look particularly young for my age, but young children are frequently delighted with me. It happens when I'd prefer to be invisible out in public. I'll be doing my thing and then notice out of the corner of my eye that someone is staring at me. It's invariably a young child with a huge grin on his or her face doing their best to get my attention. So I smile. Often that isn't enough. Their mother will push them in the opposite direction or pull them along and the child will crane their neck around and make sure they get my attention once more. Sometimes it is even annoying. I may stick my tongue out and glare..they really love that and often it makes them laugh. Sometimes they even start doing a little happy dance and making happy noises.. This behavior rarely meets with the approval of their mothers who'd obviously prefer their children didn't flirt with weird strangers.

I've considered that young children do this with many people. However, I've tried to be observant. The same child who was trying to exhibit this playful behavior may be totally morose a few minutes later....that is, until they see me again...And then all of a sudden huge, huge grin and it starts all over.

I'd like to know what they're getting from me that is so fascinating. Because whatever it is, adults detest it.

Same with me, but on top of it a lot of kids start talking to me like I am an equal and when my son is with me he does not say a beep to them or they to him..
afterwards my son said many times in a sarcastic tone: Did u make a new friend mom?!

Ohhh yeah. I am definitely childlike...in fact, I was just thinking about this earlier today. I'm an interesting case, though. Family, friends, and acquaintances have always noted that I am incredibly mature, wise beyond my years...I've been described as an old soul on several occasions. This, I believe, comes from my emotional detachment from certain situations...I am always calm, always clear headed, always logical...in public.

In actuality, I'm still just a child. Like a few others have mentioned, small children and animals seem drawn to me. I feel more comfortable around adults because I feel like a child, and adults don't expect children to be socially mature. Around kids and teens, however, I feel very self-conscious, because they feel like peers to me.

I collect stuffed penguins. I named my Ipod, and carry it around in an adorable green, glittery cell phone 'hoodie' with shamrocks on it. When I ask my boyfriend to help me put songs on it, I refer to it as buying gifts for 'Lucky' (the Ipod). I often find myself transfixed by flying objects/creatures, lights, shiny objects. When I find something interesting, I think it's cooooool. I like being taken care of and babied, and play out any illnesses for attention (as a child would). I'm 23, and I still pout my lip and will sometimes talk like a little girl. For years, I've noticed that older men are incredibly drawn to me, which I attribute to the fact that I'm a 'legal girl child'...they love to 'awwww' at me.

Chirpiness would be a slight understatement, I almost throw myself on the floor with laughing...
even this morning that embalming fluid thing was still in my head making me grin like an idiot :D
