I was probably the only one in the theater that was disappointing in the final battle at hogwartz. When Voldemort vaporized I literally said "What the F*$%?! That's not how it happened!" As if it were a historical documentary that got a huge event all wrong. My friend who had never read the books looked at me like I was crazy! Lol

Or when you get toned out in the middle of the night - and you're more infuriated by the damned pager vibrating and making so much noise than the fact you have to rush back into work in the middle of the night.

I'm glad I'm not alone anymore.

You might be an Aspie if, when someone asks you if you'd like to watch the newest Harry Potter movie, you immediately decline and track down one of your copies of the book instead.

YMBAAI....other girls in your class invited you to their parties and to their houses because their parents made them, then when they got to about 10 and over, they cringed when remembering they used to play with you outside of school......

I can relate to what several people have written here in previous posts. I have not tried the Sims computer game, but would like to someday.

You know you're an Aspie if:

1. You like your daily routine and even though it is fun to do something different you miss your routine.
2. You hear about something new of interest and spend large amounts of time researching the new interest on the internet.
3. You are intelligent yet socially awkward.
4. You take online quizzes to see how well you do on "reading facial and emotional expressions."
5. You like to be a life long learner and do not mind being a bit nerdy.
6. You often prefer the company of a pet dog or cat to people.
7. You are a very careful driver since it took you a few years longer than everyone else to get your driver's license plus people on the freeway are "crazy."
8. You take your time walking down the stairs due to a fear of falling.
9. You did not participate in team sports in high school, but preferred the swim team and jogging.
10. You like dancing well, but are not really sure if you are really good at it or not.
11. Also sometimes you do not have always have common sense even though you are intelligent and are also book smart and not always street smart.
12. You like even numbers so you add an extra item to your list to make it an even number of items.8)

YMBAAI....you love the song ''Crazy Bus'' from ''Arthur'' and you listen to it on repeat, and it beats Justin Timberlake.

Thought I'd finally contribute some of my own...

YMBAAI...

the thing you most look forward to about going to the restaurant with your parents is the moment you’re allowed to leave the table to drive home alone.

your parents bought you a clock for your bedroom wall with the words "we checked extensivel if it made any ticking noises, but we couldn't hear any", but regardless of their promising words you can't go to sleep at night because the ticking sounds of the clock make you crazy.

you are extremely happy and relieved when you arrive at your flat and none of your flatmates are present.

you get agitated about misplaced items in stores and spend a good amount of time putting the majority of it back in order until you get called out on it by your mum/someone working at the store.

you realise 5 years later that when the teacher asked about the whereabouts of two of your classmates you shouldn't have said the truth, but shut up like everyone else. You finally understand why people were annoyed with you and you internally beat yourself up about that for the next few hours.

you get so obsessed about watching your favourite TV shows that you completely forget about your basic needs.

the same happens when you're playing videogames.

... you go to a party (even one you had Really been looking forward to) and after 15 minutes you've tried to visit with as many people as you could mentally stand, used up all 17 social skills that you have memorized in your life, and are Lookin' Fer The Door!
...only to remember you came with someone else who is having fun, there's a blizzard out so you can't escape that way, and then notice the most odious loudmouth at this gathering heading straight towards you. - smile your best panic smile..

Over the eons I've learned to go to gatherings late, park where I can't get hemmed in, grab a drink to hide behind, and coyly slip out and away just before my head implodes.

-and, yeah, the next day 'They' see ya, it's always "Gosh, I didn't see you leave, when did you go??"

Oh, I'm the same. To fully focus I need it to be quiet. Also, sometimes I can't stand listening to music while walking outside in autumn/winter. It might sound really weird but if I wear like a t-shirt, a cardigan and I put my coat on and then listen to music it makes me feel really claustrophobic. I don't usually like wearing coats and if I then listen to music in my earphones it makes me feel even more trapped. Does that make sense?

You know you're an aspie when it takes you 4 days to trim your garden hedge as opposed to the half hour it took your neighbour ... and your neighbour didn't even use a spirit level 8O

^That's exactly how I am!^

You know you're an aspie when you don't need to post anything new on this thread because all of the other posts describe you so well.

When you get extremely happy hyper or excited and pace or jump up and down and flap your hands. Or when your talking to someone and and that person is talking to you and you wander off.

And I hear every little pieces of melody, harmony and basses and all of that. It's ok when you want to play something without notes (I hate notes...) but when your working, it's kind of hard if your concentration is paying attention only to the music. And that's why I use earplugs at work and everybody thinks I'm weirdo, because this noice doesn't borher anyone else. And explaining why this noice bothers me, is like explaining colours to a blind person...
I am the same way,I can't stand backround music on at work.
