Cold water hitting my body, such as rain or being splashed at a swimming pool.
Babies crying when they get that low-pitched distressed sound.
Music that goes thump, especially when it's loud and fast
Power saws cutting wood
My son shouting into my ear (>95 dB, I measured it)
Shoulder massages (maybe I could tolerate or enjoy a gentle one)
Sudden, loud noises
Loud noise in general
Visual cacophonies
Distorted guitars and other unnatural sounding instruments

showers feel like rocks pelting him
socks feel like they are "strangling his feet"
underwear feels like it will "cut him in half"
fat on any meat product in his mouth
pulp in his mouth
chocolate in his mouth
any type of blanket except "cold blanket" which is a cotton sheet.
getting his nails cut hurts his body
getting his "hairs" cut
any type of touch from another human bring feels like he is being scratched
hugging him feels like he is being suffocated
any breaded meat in his mouth
jeans

O cpuld go on and on. it seems like everyday we are finding new things that "bother" him.

I really dont mean to sound rude, but how do the things I have listed relate to aspergers, it all seems like preference to me

Right now I'm extremely stressed about the continuous loud hammering coming from the roof repairmen. I just want to scream. I could leave the house, but I really have nowhere to go, and I don't want to waste gas. So, I'm blaring some heavy metal. Ugh.

Well, I'm deaf in my right ear, so any sudden noises scare me, especially something that appears directly at my left because my left ear is really powerful (over-compensation). I'm also sensitive about anyone/thing being on my right. If someone sits on my right instead of my left, I usually move seats. Or I cry inside if I can't move. I especially hate this if I'm on a plane or a bus because everything's already so loud that I can't hear well. So I'm basically unable to hear and trapped that way for a prolonged period. :?

Sounds:

Screaming kids or screaming people in general
High pitched voices
Loud laughter when nothing is funny

Tastes/Textures:

Any kind of food that feels as though it will grow in my mouth
Any kind of overly sweet foods that I know will repeat on me for hours after I eat it

Smells:

Dirty diapers
Garbage
Any smell I can't exactly figure out (What is it?)
Scented candles
Perfume samples in magazines
Febreze used to cover cat urine-it doesn't work! It's worse than the smell of the cat pee alone!

I certainly can't! It feels so bad to me that I can't stand to not stop!

I don't like the sound of a wet dish cloth wiping the surface of a plastic tablecloth because it tingles and I get a rough feeling on my fingertips, teenage girls talking because...I just don't like it, my fingertips brushing against jeans because it feels awful, the sight of teens hanging out in groups because they look like a mob out to beat me up badly, babies crying or kids screaming because I just feel like yelling "shut up!" to them, eye contact because I can't do it for long otherwise I'll start smiling like a maniac.

Anyone have similar dislikes like me?

Most hated aural sensation:

Screaming babies

People talking on mobile phones

Music leaking from other people's headphones (this really winds me up and I have to control myself from screaming: "Turn your music down, you *&^%*!)

The sound of certain accents (at risk of offending annoying I am not going to give a list)

Most hated physical sensation:

Silk

Wool

Any underwear that isn't cotton

Oh and giggling, squealling teenage girls. Interesting how this aural sensation has made it on to so many "most hated" lists? :?:

Yeah, I get that feeling when I see a group of people especially men and teenagers. I think they are going to beat me up or laugh at me (or both!).
