but I was never certain whether they really didn't notice or never bothered to say that they did....

I'd say this is an NT thing; aspies are not that jumpy about stuff that does not involve socializing (right?)

You're right, that is not specifically an Aspie thing, don't know why I wrote that like that for. :? :)

You might be Aspie if....

....you'd rather stay home on Friday nights and Saturday nights and write stories on your computer, than to go out socialising, even if you get offered the chance. Then you do your own ''socialising'' when you get into bed, by watching DVDs of the Simpsons and making out you have gone into their ''world'' and find it easier to ''live'' the Simpsons society than it is your own

....you need to work part-time because you feel that full-time will be too much pressure for you, and time alone is more important than earning a bit more money

....you catch the 08.15am bus to avoid the crowds - even if it means getting up extra early and having to pay more (due to peek times), you'll still rather pay more than get on the later morning buses where more people get on

....(for Aspie ''winter haters'') it is coming to the end of July and you're already panicking about autumn and winter coming because the cold temperatures and snow and ice makes you feel very unsettled (even though the snow months don't arrive 'til at least November)

I was known for my younger brother or just known as "that wierd dude".

My younger siblings were known because of me; who was known as 'that weird chick' by those in my year (often said fondly to be fair), 'that friendly one' by those younger than me, and 'that smart one' by the teachers.
I think they found it annoying.
It's interesting for me because, as I have such poor facial recognition, I don't know half these people who consider me some kind of legend. >.>

You might be an Aspie if...

...someone tells you their plan for the day and your response is to reorganize it so that it can happen more efficiently.

....you was up half the night looking for your earplugs, because you can't go to sleep without your earplugs next to you, in case you need them when your cat miaws loudly in the early hours of the morning, and you can't bear to then be awake hearing bomps of bangs of people getting up.

You wonder who the untouched aspie woman are and wonder if they'd like to share a curiosity with you they don't have to be particulary good looking (6-7) and remember guys our 7 is probably a 3-4 by NT standards  back in the day I was ridiculed when I said Rikki Lake was "cute" even as a fatso (she's looking really good these days) but I'm being silly I wouldn't want to share a curiosity with any one even with you, as they say "curiosity killed the cat" :P

You know you're an aspie when you go to lunch at 11 every day instead of 12 just so you can avoid the lunch crowd. And if you can't leave at 11, you wait until 1pm for the same reason.

If someone is telling you about his/her troubles in life during 7 or 8 minutes, you are making a very fake smile because you are not that interested in the little domestic problems of a boring person who you barely know, and while he or she is talking to you, starts your anxiety, you loose the eye contact and it begins... you start watching the walls, your clothes, the floor, the door! while he or she is yet talking, but hey, maintaining the fake smile.
