It's wonderful. :D Snakes have such lovely skin; it is cool and smooth to the touch. And even baby snakes are amazingly muscular...you can feel every part of the body flex as they move through your fingers. At the same time, they are feather light and delicate. It is wonderful to have one coiled around the fingers of one hand.

I very much enjoy extremely soft fabrics- I love running silk and velvet over my hands and arms- and my mom bought me a sweater lined with the softest fake fur I've ever felt last Christmas. I've nearly worn through it, I've worn it nearly every day (except when my sister accidentally took it on her honey moon, oops) and there are holes developing in the elbows, which will be a problem because then I'll have air hitting some parts of my skin and not others and... argh.

I collect similarly soft stuffed animals. I don't like ones that feel synthetic, I want the ones that feel silky.

I like spring sunshine, and I like running my hands upstream through running water so the current pushes at them a bit.

I like blankets that feel heavy, I can fall asleep under them much more easily than light and puffy ones.

I thought about mentioning that last time I had an x-ray at the dentist I nearly fell asleep under the apron. Hee!

when you go for x-rays do you like the lead apron?

Usually my favourite part of the entire experience.

Quote:
would you sleep in one at home if given the opportunity?

I'm a little paranoid and worry about lead seeping out into me, alas. I don't think I would be able too, but it would be reeeeally comfortable.

would you not be embarrased if sensory issues made it necessary to wear in public?

I would probably be embarrassed. I am painfully shy and tend to think that people think the worst of me.

I am not into hugs or kisses at all. I tend to feel stifled and awkward with hugs, and I prefer leaning on someone or poking them to show affection physically. Kissing on the mouth is weird for me, but I don't mind kisses on the cheek. They're not something I would actively go out of my way to get.

ouchies Chloe... hugs and kisses are something i seek for a lot... in fact some people call me Freudian because of it because it seems awfully "regressed"

I like proper hugs, really tight genuine ones. Not the pretend huggettes that people normally do socially - can't stand those.

Can't stand silk etc - far too slippery and yukky. Old cotton jersey is great. Big, comfortable shoes - not trendy ones that pinch your feet. Would rather be cold than have a wispy coverlet over me - duvet needs to be chunky and heavy.

Smell and taste are huge for me. Some smells and tastes are utterly sublime and I can get very lost in them - I'm sure I taste more than most other people. On the other hand, I am almost certain that I can smell things that others can't - some people have body odours that are beyond vile, yet I don't think they affect others. For example, when I was working in Russia, I thought that most people smelt like old fatty pork mixed in with a touch of engine oil. Underground/subway rides were very very unpleasant for me. I mentioned it to my Western colleagues - they didn't notice anything.
