Your Aspie score: 19 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 180 of 200

I am a bit more NT today than yesterday.

You are very likely an Aspie

From what I gather, a higher Aspie score points towards Asperger's and a lower NT score also points towards it also? I'd post my graph, but I can't figure out how to do it. :D

For general amusement, I was officially diagnosed many years ago and I'm apparently very autistic.

Image

Your Aspie score: 68 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 129 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

Seems to happen with these tests a lot - my official diagnosis says I'm very autistic, but these online tests all seem to nuance or even deny that.
Others without a diagnosis generally score much higher than me, and someone else I know who was diagnosed that early on has reported the same problem.
Which makes me wonder - who's right?

Maybe it's because the test is complete nonsense devised by a hobbyist in their spare time. Perhaps you were working under the mistaken belief that it was created by a professional body with experience and qualifications in either autism, psychology or other relevant scientific field. Sorry to disappoint.

I'm firmly of the opinion that your score is dependent on whether or not you think you have AS, not whether or not you have it.

I thought I had AS last year, and scored 180, I don't think I have AS now, and I score about 50.

It works like the "Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers typology test" & many others. You have to answer it accurately with no bias or forcing yourself to do something of the opposite.

I you're answering honestly then there really shouldn't be much variation in the scoring. I have done it several times over the past couple years and its always been between 140 and 160 AS score.

But depends what he is basing all his data off & what questions who use. Like someone else said further up "nemorosa", rdos made it didn't he. How many logical errors in data has he made. Like trapping does not work on a open plain etc.

20 point difference in what would be classed as a "Introvert score" to "Extrovert score" is normal. It is not accurate. You can only get the letters as long as you answer it right. But the numbers are normally void of any meaning.

Like taking a IQ test.

Or any test. If your answering them roughly the same you will get that scoring. Your only meant to really take it once, & make sure you answer it right. But really they just numbers.

I agree. However I have revised some answers based on my memories from my childhood. I sometimes wouldn't consider my past behavior (or didn't initially remember). So, having taken my time and given each answer complete consideration, I came up with what will be my final score of 156. I am 39 now and I think that as you go through life your NT score may get higher based on skills you developed along the way. The skills don't negate the underlying pathology, but they do make you more NT functionality.

You just described Introversion & extroversion.

Quote:
Carl Jung and the authors of the Myers-Briggs provide a different perspective and suggest that everyone has both an extraverted side and an introverted side, with one being more dominant than the other.

In any case, people fluctuate in their behavior all the time, and even extreme introverts and extraverts do not always act according to their type.

Can someone tell me if this NT word means Extrovert? or what......

I am going to say no just because I believe that introversion/extroversion is distinct from AS or NT. From reading the forums it seems to me that plenty of people are extroverted, yet still have AS.

Do you guys think this test is very accurate, from a medical standpoint? I, in fact, score highly on all of the online AS tests but this one had me going "YES, YES!" the most.

Just curious.
