1) You are over 60 and realize that you have only been to 2 weddings in your life and they were relatives weddings and you weren't actually formally invited to them.

2) The one wedding you were actually invited to, you didn't go because you didn't want to go.

3) The only people you have ever spent holidays or birthdays with as an adult were your children or grandchildren.

4) One day when you are old, while staring at the wall and thinking about stuff, you suddenly realize that this is not normal.

^These could be considered either good or bad, depending.

Nothin' wrong with that!! Who doesn't love to stare at a wall or two now and then? I did it since I was a teenager.
Might go and stare at one right now! 8O

When you were a kid people told you that you acted like a grown-up, but when you're an adult people tell you you act like a kid.

...when you get told it's partly because of you (others were involved, apparently) that the local Autism support group has now decided that during Quiz Evening, there is to be no talking at all.

What happened was, someone sat behind me and whispered the right answered, which I heard.

That is the only time that having hypersensitive hearing has come in useful.

If you can't comprehend why "endless repeat" is not the default mode for mp3 players.

...you ever wonder where the hell your life's going, whilst everyone else takes each day as it comes.

Funny story about this:

My sister was pointing out that a boy in my karate class was autistic. After I simply nodded, she asked if I knew what "autistic" meant. Between her accent and my auditory processing difficulties, I could have sworn she said "artistic," so I replied, "Yeah: it means you draw really well."

You might be an Aspie if you are now unsure of whether or not the above story is actually funny.
" " if you spent a few minutes rephrasing the story to make it seem more "correct."

Whenever I see the name "Austin" I almost always have to re-read it and make sure it doesn't say "autism".

When your boss gives you a couple of instructions and you smile nod and say yeah but you've already forgotten the first thing he said.
When talking to people and all you can think is where is that f***ing buzzing noise coming from.
You spend 15 minutes rocking back and forth because you notice the light from the window is making a weird effect when it reflects off an up turned cd.
