silence is something i could use right now... i cant sleep unless its totally silent...

maybe i should have my room converted into a sound isolation booth

parents snore, watch TV loud till 2:00 in the morning, dog barks... this house sucks for silence!

Does anyone else here require total silence for sleep to occur?

Tight Clothing

Do you like tight clothing?

Have you ever worn any type of tight clothing and liked the way it feels?

Have you ever thought to yourself "I wish i could have more of my clothes made from tight materials"

What kind of materials do you like for tight things?

My Answers

YES!! !

YES!! ! I like the way latex gloves feel, back when i had the walking ability i used to literally volunteer to wash the dishes so i could wear rubber gloves without getting yelled at

YES!! ! I am even planning to purchase things from oddball clothing stores.

I like spandex, darlexx, silk, velvet, satin, latex, PVC

You like tight hugs? I'd gladly hug you if I could, Strapples. :)

I like the feeling I get when I pet a cat. Sometimes it makes my fingers tingle with delight.

I also like the feeling of first waking up after a good night's sleep.

Aww, I would love for you to come and give me a tight hug right now. I don't get lots of hugs due to the fact that i almost never leave the house. when i get my powerchair that problem will be solved.

Oddly enough i get no unusual feelings when petting a cat, maybe the fur is not prickly enough. ;)

I like the feeling of waking up after a good dream/good night sleep, which both come as a combo... my sleep sucks though so i dont get "good sleep" often

Legally admissable evidance that my sleep sucks ass...

I went to sleep at 8:30 PM last night, woke up seizuring at 11:30ish and i am still up at 2:50 fully awake and alert. I usually do NOT go back to sleep on the night of a seizure... sometimes sleep during the day due to another type of seizure i have where i start spasming and fall asleep spazzin...

i love restriction/restraint to me its very calming because i dont have good control over my body so when i am held in a position that feels good to me i become very calm...

i dont really like anything gritty, really irritates me + my skin is very sensitive.

if its not super soft then i probably dont really like it much...

i hate the sound of cracking knuckles. it makes me want to throw up. that also makes me so nauseated its unbelievable... and yet people go on about doing it like normal when im sitting here looking like i am ready to throw up.

pretty much deep touch anywhere but my feet is good... light touch anywhere and expect to die

I also hate the sound of cracking knuckles! It's beyond irritating.

I don't mind restricting stuff as long as my arms are free. I have a weird thing about having my arms tied down. I do like to be held/have something heavy on my body (like the lead dentist blanket!).

I've built up a resistance to gritty face washes and things like that. When I was younger I couldn't stand any of it.

I think I'm about equal with soft/hard/rough textures. I like them both with some exceptions (not too fond of silk but I like fluffy things).

And I also hate light touch! Like when someone taps you "politely" on the shoulder! Makes me want to jump out of my skin!

I like restriction any way, especially lead apron at the dentistis.

i do not like hard or rough things, i like only soft and silky things.

i HATE light touch... HATE "polite shoulder taps"

I think this thread should be stickied for how valuable its subject and contents could be to people wanting to learn about sensory integration disorder? anyone else agree on stickyage?

I don't think this thread should be stickied or in fact is helpful at all. It's a bunch of people talking about what gets them up without any real information about sensory integration dysfunction.

I realize this thread is your baby and you feel you need to push it on everyone (like spamming people with messages telling us to check it), but please don't ask the mods to help you do this.

I have a strange obsession with a silky stuffed animal I've had since I was a newborn. I still sleep with it and rub it on my face at age 14. O_O
I can't stand small sounds that become intense, such as a quartz clock ticking.
