My special interest for the last 3 months has been losing weight - I am down around 10kg - and really enjoying it

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I've been importing the DVDs from Australia and America, as they're not available here, and also just got a board game that I'll probably never play. I'm mostly into the 2003 series and the 2007 movie right now.

Currently learning Zone 1 of the London Underground (alphabetically). Should have it completed by the time I leave the house this evening. I really should be studying fluvial geomorphology. To me though, an ardent 'rote' learner, it just isn't quite as captivating as 'Aldgate, Aldgate East, Angel, Baker St, Bank, Barbican, Bayswater' etc etc etc

Souffles and other foods made airy with eggs or egg whites, like sponge cake. I already had a previous obsession with macarons :3

Also back to Doctor Who and The Big Bang Theory. Starting to get an obsession with quantum mechanics again, since Nova's been airing stuff about it.

The only new obsession I've gotten recently is one with tea. I know how to brew tea perfectly, and figuring out which types I like and everything. I drink it very frequently now. Most obsessions I've had lately are ones I've had previously.

Astrophysics and number theory. Also, if it counts, I've watched the entire first seasons of The Big Bang Theory and Community over the course of the weekend. I have no life :(

Honestly, it's true. Scaring the crap out of me, but once I get my teeth into a pursuit you need a crowbar to get me off it. Please, God, grant that my associates will turn out to be more weird than I am, so I won't stand out. And take these butterflies out of my belly, they're tickling me. And stop my hands shaking. And stop me from talking past the point and saying bizarre things.

Amen.

Still happy about memorising the NATO phonetic alphabet. What's not to love?

Even call-centre people - surely in direst need - try to set me straight:
'So that's Foxtrot-Sierra-Zulu, got that?'
'You mean "F-th-S" for "Freddie, "F-th-S" for "Tham", "Zed" for "Zeebra"?'

But I stand firm.

I'm obsessed with twitter. (You can follow me @JakeGronie btw) It's like I can follow all my obsessions in one place. I follow over 1,300 feeds. (Those maily being politics/current events, sports, and pro wrestling). I've gotten 300 followers (mostly real ppl too!) I bet the one's that follow me for the politics are confused about all the posts about pro wrestling and vice versa. It's just so much easier to interact with ppl online and only having to communicate in 140 characters and not having to write a big drawn out message. I also like the challenge, I don't believe in using any of the tweet longer apps.

World of Warcraft (Since 2008), metaphysics and philosophy (since forever), psychology is recent, culinary arts -- esp. baking, and bread making. Making the perfect pot of coffee every morning. Grilling all 60 steaks exactly medium rare for class service.

Once I was told perfection is a journey and that pretty much validated all of what I do in my life toward that end.
