Once again, the brainless masses show their ignorance and base cruelty.

That definition should be on WP home page. :D

Just so they can have something to think about before attacking us.

Wow... sometimes I forget just how cruel people really are, behind our backs. :(

Makes me think of that moment in the last episode, in which the other four girls were gossiping about Heather and making fun of her for getting lost, and then as soon as she walked through the door they put on those big, fake smiles and said "Heather!! !!" :D :D :D As if they were such good friends.

I think they're really only proving what idiots they are.... the pot calling the kettle black, so to speak.

Specially the comments on the verbatim interview transcript... as part of my job I've interviewed a lot of very, very big names, and my computer at work is full of interview transcripts that look just like that. They're just not accustomed to seeing something that hasn't been pared down, edited, and re-moulded to fit whatever agenda they're trying to put across that day. You need transcripts like that so if worse comes to worst and you end up in a defamation case or something you can back up tapes with a word-for-word copy of what was said.

Oh so she's not Aspie enough? What stereotype of autism should someone be in order to fit the criteria? A lot of people with AS are very, very good at mimicry, keep in mind.

Thank you! I don't get the whole "she's not an Aspie to me!" reaction. To me, she seems blantantly AS. And being a female Aspie, I know all abut mimicking in social situations, and I strongly thik she was doing that in some ways to help her deal with being around those other girls.

I had a sinking feeling in my gut watching that last episode. I know, being an Aspie, finding her way round a strange place like that could easily be overwhelming, and it was for her. I hated watching her go through that.

I also sensed it was the end of the road when I heard Nigel's comments about her when the judges discussed her photo shoot. That whole "I'm feeling a disconnect from her" was pretty damning because Nigel was right. She did have a tendency to fade out and disconnect, especially after a bad day like she had. But that's how we Aspies can be. Sad to see her go - I was kind of hoping it'd be that snotty blonde girl, but it didn't surprise me it was Heather. At least she kept it positive and recognized how much she learned from the experience.

Why did the interview with Heather end all of a sudden?

I know there was a "fire alarm" or something, but I missed the part where Heather and Alex said good bye...

alex, what happened? I asked you this question before but you didn't answer.

LOL yes, or very small mice having an antimated convo!

I opened the MP3 right next to it and it plays fine, Alex might have put that there because he knows.

(this may not be exactly 100% verbatim. I got tired of transcribing the interview after the first 15 mins.

Alex: I really appreciate you answering all these questions.
Heather: Oh no problem. I'm glad you called.
Alex: I probably was one of the more awkward interviewers.

Heather: No. I understand how it is. You're actually one of the ones, the only one I was like really, you know, comfortable talking with.

Then we said goodbye.

Maybe contempt is not the right word to describe the feeling she conveys through her facial expression, but I know I wouldn't feel too happy if I caught someone staring at me with that look on her face. (Unless I knew for sure that the person staring at me is on the spectrum, in which case I wouldn't hesistate to not read too much into her facial expression.) ;)
