And a big PS: I can't believe I forgot shots! I have massive anxiety attacks when I have to get shots or have my blood taken. Thinking about it right now is enough to make me sick to my stomach. So I'm going to move on to the good sensations thread now haha.

*Strong smells, worst is syrup, the smell makes me instantly nauseous, though I don't mind the taste

*Wiping dry things against dry things (ie wiping dirt or sand off an object) the touch is absolutely grating.

*Someone touching me (especially without warning). I can deal with short hugs, taps, accidental bumpings etc, but hands touching me or someone sitting too closely drives me crazy.

*Scratching anything with your nails, the sound doesn't bother me but I have always had a horrible mental picture of nails peeling backwards 8O *cringe*

*Socks bunching in my shoes (I wear sandals whenever possible)

*Wet hair. I hate washing my hair (I will do it, but as quickly as possible)

Kissing and chewing sounds. Blegh.
Peanut butter. While I enjoy the taste, the sticky feeling just isn't worth it.
Feeling itchy. I'm always itchy :(
And unexpected touches from people make me want to punch them and run away.

Spooky... You sound like a female version of me! :)

- Cold -- cold weather, cold water, cold feet, whatever. Being cold makes me miserable, although I love being hot! Anything less than 80 degrees is long-sleeve weather for me.

- Tight clothing -- I wear almost exclusively skirts and dresses that drift away from my body when it's warm enough, and wide-leg trousers or loose jeans when it's cold. (My husband wishes I would wear tight clothing, but that's never going to happen.)

- Filing my nails. I clip them (and sometimes bite them).

- Dry skin; I keep lotion all over the house (both bathrooms, the kitchen, my bedside table, my study, and the living room all have lotion in them; I also keep two small tubes in my purse along with hand sanitizer).

- Grocery stores. Too loud, too bright, too crowded, too many things to process. Very anxiety-inducing. I do my shopping at a farmer's market -- far away, but going to the butcher, the baker, the greengrocer, etc. is very pleasant for me.

- Wool...but I am allergic to it, so that's probably a large part of why it feels so unpleasant to me

- Eye contact

- Being touched by people I do not know...I somehow seem to have fallen in with a very touchy-feely group out here and have to concetrate on not flinching when people hug me.

Skin lotion, pantyhose, dresses, heels, dating

People talking in the background when I'm trying to hear at a speech or workshop

Medical and social professionals who treat me like an imbecile despite an IQ that's probably higher than theirs and try to dictsate how my life is run without my input

People who get in my face and yell at me to get off welfare and get a job when I always wanted to work and never wanted to be on welfare

People who get in my face and yell at me to stop trying to get a job, give it up and go to a nursing home where I belong

I though girls are the "holding hands with friends, always wrapping arms around friends" type. Tuned out, you're just like me. I also don't want any people touching me especially my buddys. I think male to male skin contact is just not right. For girls, there are some exceptions.

people walking up behind me
the carpool announcements at the school I work at
loud sudden noises
people talking very fast and loud at me
wool clothing / itchy clothing
tags in shirts
smells of a hospital / disinfectant smells
multiple conversations in a room
screaming
Styrofoam being pulled out of a box -- the squeaky noise it makes
carpets / floors with too many patterns or lots of lines -- makes my head spin and the pattern jumps off the floor at me
fresh cut grass -- makes me feel itchy

unexpected human contact (not too bad if I see it coming)

rain

voices saying numbers (screws with my train of thought)

vertigo (I'm afraid of heights)

touching edges of paper or similar thin objects

rope burn/friction burn

sitting still with legs down for more than a minute

any sort of direct light (I've learned to tolerate computers on low settings)

Graininess and dryness. I hate walking on the beach and getting sand between my toes. I also can't stand dirt contacting my skin. It's why I'm an anthropology major rather than archaeology... I don't like getting dirty.

The feel of wool and many fabrics makes me shudder, especially if I fold it over and rub it together between my fingers.

Lets see....

First off, labels, labels on the back of my collar, labels on the sides of underwear, argh why are they so big and made of such scratchy material? Most of my clothes consequently don't have labels... :)

Bright light is physically painful plus is causes my eyes to flood with tears in response which makes seeing even harder! I get underwater blindness instead of just plain light-blindness!

Walking down the cleaning/detergent isle is horrible all those fake smells combine to make a smell that just so wonderfully gag-some.

Having a stone in my shoe, must stop there and then to remove it otherwise it's all I can think about and I feel it rolling about in there, hiding down the side of my insole and then just when I think it's gone it comes back! Nope, got to stop there and then to evict the little blighter!

Layered-noise enviroments, if there's a TV on, plus people talking and other noises like the sounds of traffic outside, don't bother trying to have a conversation with me, I will struggle to focus on 1 thing and that makes my head feel most unpleasant I can feel my brain struggling with it all and I don't like that sensation.

I find people inadvertently jostling me almost painful, the shock of it plus the act of being touched is so uncomfortable to me.

There's loads of other stuff, this was the sort of behavior that used to get me labeled by my parents as being melodramatic. :(

I hate:

People constantly talking during movies/tv that i'm watching (now granted i talk during stuff that i'm watching, but i do it when i'm alone)

Balloons popping (and also balloon animals when people are constantly twisting them)

I don't have a problem with wearing certain fabrics, but like if a little bit gets caught in my fingernails/fingers; i hate that feeling

i don't like when people get too close to me.

I hate nail filers
