Freezing out is an overt, group performed way of disrespecting an individual. You simply decide to dehumanize somebody to the point that you don't acknowledge they exist. This is different from probations or time outs, if you don't make the effort to explain what somebody did wrong you can't expect them to know it was wrong. Even when people are intellectually aware of a rule, they don't realize the exact point where they crossed over into violation. This relates to why I don't generally approve of bans, they tend to be a unilateral decision, that ends up in a group freeze out and the group might not even realize they are doing it because they have no other means to communicate with the banned individual.

The best way to handle it is to obsessively keep coming back. Keep bothering them and overstepping their boundaries. If that doesn't piss them off, I don't know what will.

oh - I wouldn't have the energy for that.
The older I get the less I can fight back in that way. I'd prefer to exit and get on with something nice. I really do not like "intentionally" pissing people off. I do it enough UNINTENTIONALLY without having to fabricate more examples of it.
Jeesh, i'm bruised enough by life already......

But I do agree with the above quote that makes the point there is often an intellectual understanding of a rule and a loss as to why - in practice - a rule may have been broken.

Well, my reasoning is that if they disrespect me, they deserve a taste of their own medicine. Perhaps it's my Asperger's but when I get obsessive, I get obsessive. I cannot rest until my goal is complete.

Is there such a thing as posting too much? I post a lot...

If you create 25 new topics on a daily basis I could see how that could upset mods.

Well I haven't violated any of the spamming rules, but so far in my first few days on this particular forum I'm averaging more than ten posts a day, and some of those aren't exactly going to be pointed to as examples of brevity I'm thinking. Haven't actually started any topics of my own though, just participated in threads.

Been banned from a forum once for:

hypersensitivity
not understanding sarcasm or inferences
getting too angry and not accepting misogyny

I've been from a lot of places for trolling. That was a long time ago, when I was a teenager who thought he was being funny by being a jack ass. Turns out, I was just being an unfunny jack ass. 8O

I was banned for asking a bunch of rednecks about their thoughts on pedophilia, (in a fairly matter-of-fact and scientific way, mind you, I was looking for real opinions for a school paper) and then making ONE pedobear post when they immediately got really really pissed off at the question.

I've been banned from multiple Aspergers and Autism forums for things like "not appearing to be an aspie" or "making fun of people with Autism by claiming to be one". It's funny how everybody agrees that everybody with Aspergers/Autism is different, yet everyone is supposed to meet some criteria as in you're supposed to fit a mold.

Apparently people can diagnose me with more accuracy than a neurologist, based entirely on my writing style and what I say in online forums like this.

Ive been unofficially kicked out of a lot of real-life situations, but I find boards much easier to deal with, and harder to make mistakes.. also there is editing and retracting that can be done on boards and people discuss things in greater details during arguments, often resolving them, through the written word. Definitely real life is harder.

Then I transgress T&C everyday. I post incessantly, and mostly only about the same topics: 1. My blindness to the nonverbal; 2. What a loser I am.

Someone help me shut up! 8O

On one forum I got banned even though I did bad things unintentionally and was trying to be good. The forum gave three strikes, and then you'd be banned on the 3rd strike.

Here's why I got my strike....

1st Strike - Apparentely I was spamming on every post I made. I did not know I was doing that.
2nd Strike - Posting stuff on the wrong forums. This was an accident, it was confusing to know the right forum to post stuff in at that time.
3rd Strike - Spamming via Private Messaging. I advertised my website through PMs, but I was just hoping that people would be friendly and compliment my website. I did not think I was breaking the rules or being bad in any way.

I was hated on that forum, maybe if they'd know I was autistic, it might have been a little bit easier. But I'll never make those mistakes again.
