I,ve been to one Asperger's social gathering several months ago and it was not that bad.Yes, there was not a huge number of people with AS there but, neverless it did not turn out to be negative for, everyone was able to deal/handle one another's quirks..
Actually, there was this one person with Aspergers going around with a megaphone acting as if he was doing a promo for a department store which, was funny indeed as, I mean this in a most sincere manner.. Overall it turned out great....

I still feel apprehensive about the idea of going to even an Aspie social event, but if I think about it, I do feel somewhat better about it knowing that I could simply be myself.
