I have been in job interviews and I know by maintaining eye contact (as your told to do in interview) that it's unsettled the interviewer to the point of real unrest and they want to show me the door. People say I look at them like "daggers" (evil), but I don't have ill feeling towards them at allor any ill feelings at the time. I notice the pupils don't dilate as much in AS folk and we don't smile as much, nor have much facial expression or "life" in the face. Could this be it? I think it might be lack of development too; personally I know I have a very underdeveloped looking face for a 30 year old. That in itself makes others uneasy and perhaps more critical.
I have had some junior high teacher, who used to ask me why I never smile or make eye contact.I made a sort of an attempt to smile, and made eye contact with her.....she never bugged me about it again.
