Maybe they're planning on doing a spin-off (I think that's what it's called) and focus on some of the minor characters. Either way, I doubt it will be nearly as good if the favourite characters aren't there...
Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him 
I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.
I've just been on the internet and found out some info (erm this does contain the odd spoiler) read below if you want to find out:
Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.
I did find out a few plot spoilers but I won't share (bit disappointed I found them myself tbh)
I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.
Ah, that's good. I'm glad all of the characters will stay. I'm not bothered about Dr. Kelso either, it will be nice to have a new face and he was beginning to annoy me anyway.
I hope they make a big deal of the new series on E4, or I might forget and miss it.

Slightly random, but I hate how they put Big Brother on at the time Scrubs would usually be on E4. I've never understood why anyone would want to watch a bunch of insane idiots sit around and argue with each other all day...

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.
I don't watch E4 as much as I used to but even still putting Big Brother on ahead of Scrubs doesn't surprise me tbh but it's wrong there's no need to have 6 hours of Big Brother being aired every night with 5 of those hours being pointless repeats. Scrubs is also waaay better than Big Brother
Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

Yeah it's a shame that People still watch Big Brother (My younger sister is one of them) because it's wasting valuable TV time which could have been used to air better programmes (like Scrubs

Also I can't see either why anyone would want to be confined in a space that's seems to be getting smaller and smaller every year.
Finally every year I keep hearing about more and more contestants walking out early or in the middle of the series. The whole of going in the house to me is that you STAY in there whether you like it or not (Unless something major happened) until you are evicted/declared the winner. I think a lot of the people who go one just want there moment on tv and the celebs for a good publicity stunt and the rest of the people just want the money. It's sad that money seems to be the most important thing these days

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.
That's true. Most people who are in reality TV shows are very egotistical and the more they are watched the more their ego inflates. At some point or another, though, the ego balloon will pop, leaving them with shredded nothingness.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. They're the worst for exploting members of the public and turning the into false idiots which is how everyone is supposed to act. Programmes like Made (think that's its name) and My Super Sweet 16 (I LOATHE THIS PROGRAMME) are great examples of exploiting the public and also tells the viewers that you should be a size zero and wear 10 tonnes of make up and should act like a spoilt brat who has to always get their own way (Whoever made My Super Sweet 16 If I ever meet him/her I'm gonna tell them straight)
Magazines like The National Enquirer are good at brain-washing naive fools into believing that only being stick thin and being married to a rich celeb with loads of money is what everyone should aspire to.

Yeah I don't go to parties because I know that I'd be just sitting in a corner by myself and I wouldn't be good company for anyone in these kind of situations. I can get paranoid very easily as well when with people I'm not too familiar with cos I'm always wondering if they're gonna turn on me and do something which makes me feel uncomfortable.
Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. It seems such an awful waste of the innocence of childhood that I miss so much. I feel sorry for them, they're missing out on a hell of a lot of relatively hassle-free life. I'm also a bit sceptical about Madonna's new adoption. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.
Yes, I didn't get that at all either. The adoption system does seem to be a bit screwed. Then again, it does depend on the individual child's situation. Perhaps the family didn't want to give up their baby? Perhaps she bribed them...
Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.

Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.
There's a photo about what really happened behind Madonna's second adoption coming on TV soon. I might watch it to find out if it was as screwed up as I think it was.
Yeah there's a programme on Channel Tonight at 8pm showing apparently what really happened in the second adoption of Madonna's Malawian child. It's on at 9pm as well on Channel 4 + 1.
MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. I would be very embarassed if my nan learnt to use the internet never mind getting a facebook account
It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I don't feel like a loser by not having a Facebook account and you shouldn't feel like one whether you have one or not.I was shy at all at first on posting on the 24 forum, but then gradually I became more and more shy towards it and I stopped posting completely. When I post on here I'm a little tense as to whether the topic I post about and if it will get a lot of responses as I like to thin that my threads are fairly popular and relevant in certain contexts.
I haven't seen that many happ slapping recordings on phones however I have seen quite a lot of fighting in general, and crappy stupid gang videos which are really laughable. Mobiles are good in the technological sense but in terms of privacy they make privacy worse f anything.

A pet peeve of mine is when people say/write "I lol'd". It doesn't make any sense. If that was interpreted literally, it would be like them saying "I laugh out louded", which doesn't make any grammatical sense. To be right it would have to be "I laughed out loud" which would be something along the lines of "I l'dol", which is also quite hard to interpret. Therefore I think it's much easier just to not use the acronym "lol" at all. Plus, people of the older generation tend to use the acronym "lol" to mean "lots of love". I found this out when my Grandma sent me a text saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you next week, LOL!". I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. I then realised that she was actually using the term to mean "lots of love" which is obviously a lot less offensive.
Sorry, rambling rant over.
I also worry about whether my posts will get any responses. I would feel rejected and idiotic if I made a post and nobody replied to it, because I would think the point I made was not worthy of mentioning so therefore should not have been posted.
One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.

Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.

Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.

I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.

Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. Yeah it's a shame that People still watch Big Brother (My younger sister is one of them) because it's wasting valuable TV time which could have been used to air better programmes (like Scrubs

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.

Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it, chances are there will be a repeat and also you may be able to watch it online, but I'm not sure if channel 4 have an "i-player" as such. I think the "photo" thing is another typo, or possibly your fingers disobeying your brain again
If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I found when on MSN "lol" tends to be an absolutely fantastic conversation killer between two people who only vaguely know each other. As you've probably already guessed, I hate using lol, lol'd or any other forum of slang rubbish which is stupid. I've personally never seen someone put "I lol'd" tbh but I haven't been on MSN for ages so even if I actually have I highly doubt that I would be able to remember. Thankfully all the threads that I ever have posted on any forum has had some sort of response, althought not always that popular, I've never made a thread were I got no responses. The most popular thread I made was on the Fox "24" Forum about 3 years ago in the off topic section entitled "The every Words End in An "a" thread". It went on for a while and it got over 700 responses (I did post more than once but not that many times). I think it got 745 responses before it faded away. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is
). When I first joined here I got a pm which scared me a lot, it was completely random and it was basically a fellow forumer declaring their love for me (It could have been a troll though). But even still it freaked me out, unsurprisingly I didn't respond.
Yeah I like the fact that more often than not you know who is phoning you, but when it comes to "withheld, unknown" etc I pretty much always ignore them, as I have been pranked a few times, but also I don't like answering to numbers where the person's number comes up but I don't have this particular number saved in my phonebook, hence I don't know who the called acutally is. I normally ignore these people to. I don't get rang very often but when I do it gives me a little fright even if I know who the person is as I get a little nervous inside as I start to think of what the conversation will be about. I don't really like talking on the phone at all to anyone tbh, I would rather text, as I feel more comfortable in this form of communcation, as I'm not in directly contact with them as the conversation isn't taking place in real life or in real time as such either for that matter.

Maybe they're planning on doing a spin-off (I think that's what it's called) and focus on some of the minor characters. Either way, I doubt it will be nearly as good if the favourite characters aren't there...
Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.

Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.

I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.
I don't watch E4 as much as I used to but even still putting Big Brother on ahead of Scrubs doesn't surprise me tbh but it's wrong there's no need to have 6 hours of Big Brother being aired every night with 5 of those hours being pointless repeats. Scrubs is also waaay better than Big Brother
Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

Yeah it's a shame that People still watch Big Brother (My younger sister is one of them) because it's wasting valuable TV time which could have been used to air better programmes (like Scrubs

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.
That's true. Most people who are in reality TV shows are very egotistical and the more they are watched the more their ego inflates. At some point or another, though, the ego balloon will pop, leaving them with shredded nothingness.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. They're the worst for exploting members of the public and turning the into false idiots which is how everyone is supposed to act. Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. It seems such an awful waste of the innocence of childhood that I miss so much. I feel sorry for them, they're missing out on a hell of a lot of relatively hassle-free life. I'm also a bit sceptical about Madonna's new adoption. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.
Yes, I didn't get that at all either. The adoption system does seem to be a bit screwed. Then again, it does depend on the individual child's situation. Perhaps the family didn't want to give up their baby? Perhaps she bribed them...
Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I don't feel like a loser by not having a Facebook account and you shouldn't feel like one whether you have one or not.I was shy at all at first on posting on the 24 forum, but then gradually I became more and more shy towards it and I stopped posting completely. When I post on here I'm a little tense as to whether the topic I post about and if it will get a lot of responses as I like to thin that my threads are fairly popular and relevant in certain contexts.
I haven't seen that many happ slapping recordings on phones however I have seen quite a lot of fighting in general, and crappy stupid gang videos which are really laughable. Mobiles are good in the technological sense but in terms of privacy they make privacy worse f anything.

If that was interpreted literally, it would be like them saying "I laugh out louded", which doesn't make any grammatical sense. To be right it would have to be "I laughed out loud" which would be something along the lines of "I l'dol", which is also quite hard to interpret. Therefore I think it's much easier just to not use the acronym "lol" at all. Plus, people of the older generation tend to use the acronym "lol" to mean "lots of love". I found this out when my Grandma sent me a text saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you next week, LOL!". I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. I then realised that she was actually using the term to mean "lots of love" which is obviously a lot less offensive.

One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.

If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I found when on MSN "lol" tends to be an absolutely fantastic conversation killer between two people who only vaguely know each other. It went on for a while and it got over 700 responses (I did post more than once but not that many times). I think it got 745 responses before it faded away. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is

I don't get rang very often but when I do it gives me a little fright even if I know who the person is as I get a little nervous inside as I start to think of what the conversation will be about. I don't really like talking on the phone at all to anyone tbh, I would rather text, as I feel more comfortable in this form of communcation, as I'm not in directly contact with them as the conversation isn't taking place in real life or in real time as such either for that matter.
Sometimes I wonder if there's actually any connection between my brain and my body.
There certainly seems to be crossed wires between my brain and my mouth, that's for sure. I never say things the way I think them.
I agree that "lol" can be a real conversation killer. There's no way (that I can think of) of replying to the word "lol" so the conversation does tend to trail off into oblivion. Both acronyms and emoticons without any additional text are generic killers, I'd say.
I also agree that the acronyms are generally highly innacurate. Even when people just say "lol" I doubt they are actually laughing out loud. Perhaps smiling to themselves or quietly chuckling, but I rarely see people fully laughing out loud when talking to people on the computer. Perhaps there should be a LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) or LOQ (laughing out quiet) or GATH (grinning at the humour) or WLBCBB (would laugh but can't be bothered). Those would be much more accurate.
I think if my arse fell off I would probably be incredibly shocked and then die due to massive blood loss.

I do hear some people actually say the word "lol" in real life, which I always think is rather strange. Surely when the person is right next to you they would be able to tell if you were laughing out loud or not, you certainly wouldn't have to inform them. I would find it incredibly strange if someone turned around in mid-laugh and said "by the way, just so you know, I'm laughing". It just seems so unneccessary.
I think the older generations used "lol" to mean "lots of love" very often at the end of letters etc. so they probably find it quite odd to think of the term meaning "laugh out loud".
That's a very impressive number of responses indeed! I've never made a game-type post before but they do look quite fun. I think the post with the most responses I've ever made was some art WIP post I made on another site. I can't remember how many responses it got but I remember it was several hundred if not a thousand. It probably doesn't count though because I was updating it with my own posts quite a lot, so the actual number of non-me responses will have been less. I've never actually sent a PM to anyone without having one sent to me first. I'm too paranoid that they won't reply or that they will mis-interpret what I've written. I got freaked out when I got my first PM on this site too, I thought it might be someone criticising me or trying to kick me off the site. It wasn't though.
I rarely get phoned but when I don't have the number in my phonebook or it is withheld I never answer. I get worried enough even when I know who it is (I do the same thing as you - worrying about what the conversation will be about and how it will go and what I should say) so it's far too stressful when I don't know the person.
I do prefer texting over phoning but I still get a bit worried when texting. I'm never sure what to say and whether I should talk in text speak or not. I also worry about whether I'm supposed to reply or not and whether they will interpret what I say the right way, but yes, text is better because you have time to think about what to say and you're not under so much pressure.

Maybe they're planning on doing a spin-off (I think that's what it's called) and focus on some of the minor characters. Either way, I doubt it will be nearly as good if the favourite characters aren't there...
Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.
I've just been on the internet and found out some info (erm this does contain the odd spoiler) read below if you want to find out:
Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.
I did find out a few plot spoilers but I won't share (bit disappointed I found them myself tbh)
I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.

Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

Yeah it's a shame that People still watch Big Brother (My younger sister is one of them) because it's wasting valuable TV time which could have been used to air better programmes (like Scrubs

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. I'm also a bit sceptical about Madonna's new adoption. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.
Yes, I didn't get that at all either. The adoption system does seem to be a bit screwed. Then again, it does depend on the individual child's situation. Perhaps the family didn't want to give up their baby? Perhaps she bribed them...
Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I found this out when my Grandma sent me a text saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you next week, LOL!". I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. I then realised that she was actually using the term to mean "lots of love" which is obviously a lot less offensive.

I also worry about whether my posts will get any responses. I would feel rejected and idiotic if I made a post and nobody replied to it, because I would think the point I made was not worthy of mentioning so therefore should not have been posted.
One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it, chances are there will be a repeat and also you may be able to watch it online, but I'm not sure if channel 4 have an "i-player" as such. I think the "photo" thing is another typo, or possibly your fingers disobeying your brain again
If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I found when on MSN "lol" tends to be an absolutely fantastic conversation killer between two people who only vaguely know each other. Rofl is a stupid one, not because it doesn't make sense, but because I highly doubt that anyone is going to find something that funny that they're going to "roll on the floor laughing" now are they. Also Lmao is another pointless one because you can't laugh your arse off, or at least I don't think so

The most popular thread I made was on the Fox "24" Forum about 3 years ago in the off topic section entitled "The every Words End in An "a" thread". It went on for a while and it got over 700 responses (I did post more than once but not that many times). I think it got 745 responses before it faded away. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is
). When I first joined here I got a pm which scared me a lot, it was completely random and it was basically a fellow forumer declaring their love for me (It could have been a troll though). There's no way (that I can think of) of replying to the word "lol" so the conversation does tend to trail off into oblivion. Both acronyms and emoticons without any additional text are generic killers, I'd say.
I also agree that the acronyms are generally highly innacurate. Even when people just say "lol" I doubt they are actually laughing out loud. Perhaps smiling to themselves or quietly chuckling, but I rarely see people fully laughing out loud when talking to people on the computer. Perhaps there should be a LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) or LOQ (laughing out quiet) or GATH (grinning at the humour) or WLBCBB (would laugh but can't be bothered). Those would be much more accurate.

That's a very impressive number of responses indeed! I've never made a game-type post before but they do look quite fun. I think the post with the most responses I've ever made was some art WIP post I made on another site. I can't remember how many responses it got but I remember it was several hundred if not a thousand. It probably doesn't count though because I was updating it with my own posts quite a lot, so the actual number of non-me responses will have been less. I've never actually sent a PM to anyone without having one sent to me first. I'm too paranoid that they won't reply or that they will mis-interpret what I've written. I got freaked out when I got my first PM on this site too, I thought it might be someone criticising me or trying to kick me off the site. It wasn't though.
I rarely get phoned but when I don't have the number in my phonebook or it is withheld I never answer. I get worried enough even when I know who it is (I do the same thing as you - worrying about what the conversation will be about and how it will go and what I should say) so it's far too stressful when I don't know the person.
I do prefer texting over phoning but I still get a bit worried when texting. I'm never sure what to say and whether I should talk in text speak or not. I also worry about whether I'm supposed to reply or not and whether they will interpret what I say the right way, but yes, text is better because you have time to think about what to say and you're not under so much pressure.

Your acronyms do make complete sense, but for that reason people probably won't use them. Unforuntately some people like everything to not make sense which is reall weird IMO. I might start using them actually. Another few acronyms I've seen before are: dw (don't worry) and "Apu" (as per usual - strange one).

When I get phoned it seems to happen in spurts. Loads of people will text me and ring me within a few days and I will use a fair bit of credit (I do have free texts though) and then it will be like another week or two before somebody nexts rings/texts me. Werid really.
Unknowns people or withhelds may as well not bother ringing me. I always think that they're prank callers. For that reason I'm very wary of who I share my mobile number out with (I think I may have said this before but I'm not sure).
Yeah I prefer texting for the same reason. As texting you can pre-plan things and when on the phone you can't, it's spontaneous when on the phone and I don't like being put on the spot.

Maybe they're planning on doing a spin-off (I think that's what it's called) and focus on some of the minor characters. Either way, I doubt it will be nearly as good if the favourite characters aren't there...
Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.
I've just been on the internet and found out some info (erm this does contain the odd spoiler) read below if you want to find out:
Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.
I did find out a few plot spoilers but I won't share (bit disappointed I found them myself tbh)
I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.
I don't watch E4 as much as I used to but even still putting Big Brother on ahead of Scrubs doesn't surprise me tbh but it's wrong there's no need to have 6 hours of Big Brother being aired every night with 5 of those hours being pointless repeats. Scrubs is also waaay better than Big Brother
Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

Yeah it's a shame that People still watch Big Brother (My younger sister is one of them) because it's wasting valuable TV time which could have been used to air better programmes (like Scrubs

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.
That's true. Most people who are in reality TV shows are very egotistical and the more they are watched the more their ego inflates. At some point or another, though, the ego balloon will pop, leaving them with shredded nothingness.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.

Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it, chances are there will be a repeat and also you may be able to watch it online, but I'm not sure if channel 4 have an "i-player" as such. I think the "photo" thing is another typo, or possibly your fingers disobeying your brain again
If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is

I also agree that the acronyms are generally highly innacurate. Even when people just say "lol" I doubt they are actually laughing out loud. Perhaps smiling to themselves or quietly chuckling, but I rarely see people fully laughing out loud when talking to people on the computer. Perhaps there should be a LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) or LOQ (laughing out quiet) or GATH (grinning at the humour) or WLBCBB (would laugh but can't be bothered). Those would be much more accurate.

That's a very impressive number of responses indeed! I've never made a game-type post before but they do look quite fun. I think the post with the most responses I've ever made was some art WIP post I made on another site. I can't remember how many responses it got but I remember it was several hundred if not a thousand. It probably doesn't count though because I was updating it with my own posts quite a lot, so the actual number of non-me responses will have been less. I've never actually sent a PM to anyone without having one sent to me first. I'm too paranoid that they won't reply or that they will mis-interpret what I've written. I got freaked out when I got my first PM on this site too, I thought it might be someone criticising me or trying to kick me off the site. It wasn't though.
I rarely get phoned but when I don't have the number in my phonebook or it is withheld I never answer. I get worried enough even when I know who it is (I do the same thing as you - worrying about what the conversation will be about and how it will go and what I should say) so it's far too stressful when I don't know the person.
I do prefer texting over phoning but I still get a bit worried when texting. I'm never sure what to say and whether I should talk in text speak or not. I also worry about whether I'm supposed to reply or not and whether they will interpret what I say the right way, but yes, text is better because you have time to think about what to say and you're not under so much pressure.

Your acronyms do make complete sense, but for that reason people probably won't use them. Unforuntately some people like everything to not make sense which is reall weird IMO. When I get phoned it seems to happen in spurts. Loads of people will text me and ring me within a few days and I will use a fair bit of credit (I do have free texts though) and then it will be like another week or two before somebody nexts rings/texts me. Werid really.
Unknowns people or withhelds may as well not bother ringing me. I always think that they're prank callers. For that reason I'm very wary of who I share my mobile number out with (I think I may have said this before but I'm not sure).
Yeah I prefer texting for the same reason. As texting you can pre-plan things and when on the phone you can't, it's spontaneous when on the phone and I don't like being put on the spot.
Same here. Also, sometimes I will realise that what I'm saying isn't making any sense or is too fast/quiet for anybody to understand and so will end up awkwardly trailing off half way through a sentence. This probably makes things worse but I know if I carry on I'll just dig myself and everyone around me further into a deep hole of confusion and awkwardness. I never know how to answer when people ask "what's up?". Part of me is tempted to say "up is indicating movement to or position at a higher place" but I never do say that. I always end up saying something along the lines of "nothing much" because I can't think of anything that is "up". I don't think that's the answer people are looking for though. I didn't think about the difficulty with pooping for some reason. Although when people say "(s)he cut his/her nose off to spite his/her face" I always think about what would happen when the noseless person sneezed. It would be quite disgusting, I think. 
I can't think of any other exclusively British profanity either, although I can think of a word that is only a swear word in America, and is actually common un-offending slang over here. "Damn" is considered a profanity? I guess it might be something to do with the blasphemy connotations.

Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.
I've just been on the internet and found out some info (erm this does contain the odd spoiler) read below if you want to find out:
Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.
I did find out a few plot spoilers but I won't share (bit disappointed I found them myself tbh)
I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.
I don't watch E4 as much as I used to but even still putting Big Brother on ahead of Scrubs doesn't surprise me tbh but it's wrong there's no need to have 6 hours of Big Brother being aired every night with 5 of those hours being pointless repeats. Scrubs is also waaay better than Big Brother
Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

I think a lot of the people who go one just want there moment on tv and the celebs for a good publicity stunt and the rest of the people just want the money. I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.

I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. They're the worst for exploting members of the public and turning the into false idiots which is how everyone is supposed to act. Programmes like Made (think that's its name) and My Super Sweet 16 (I LOATHE THIS PROGRAMME) are great examples of exploiting the public and also tells the viewers that you should be a size zero and wear 10 tonnes of make up and should act like a spoilt brat who has to always get their own way (Whoever made My Super Sweet 16 If I ever meet him/her I'm gonna tell them straight)
Magazines like The National Enquirer are good at brain-washing naive fools into believing that only being stick thin and being married to a rich celeb with loads of money is what everyone should aspire to.

Yeah I don't go to parties because I know that I'd be just sitting in a corner by myself and I wouldn't be good company for anyone in these kind of situations. I can get paranoid very easily as well when with people I'm not too familiar with cos I'm always wondering if they're gonna turn on me and do something which makes me feel uncomfortable.
Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

That's true, I think it's awful for her two sons. I'm glad she managed to raise some money for them before she died as well, I guess if she's going to get that much attention it might as well go to a good cause. I think the news people need to sort their priorities out. ) When you hear on the news about people in the armed forces being K.I.A (Killed in Action) they're give literally 10 seconds worth of coverage despite the fact that he/she is a hero as they have sacrificed their lives for their coutry which is an exceptionally courageous act, but this is overlooked for "much more important things"... like Madonna adopting another Malawian child, I don't particularly care about here latest publicity stunt (alright, she is also being good by taking a child out of poverty) but because it's Madonna who is adopting a child she gets 30 minutes of every hour of news coverage, if my mum was to adopt a poverty-stricken African child, the press wouldn't care in the slightest, neither would the wider world. TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. It seems such an awful waste of the innocence of childhood that I miss so much. I feel sorry for them, they're missing out on a hell of a lot of relatively hassle-free life. I'm also a bit sceptical about Madonna's new adoption. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.
Yes, I didn't get that at all either. The adoption system does seem to be a bit screwed. Then again, it does depend on the individual child's situation. Perhaps the family didn't want to give up their baby? Perhaps she bribed them...
Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I don't feel like a loser by not having a Facebook account and you shouldn't feel like one whether you have one or not.I was shy at all at first on posting on the 24 forum, but then gradually I became more and more shy towards it and I stopped posting completely. When I post on here I'm a little tense as to whether the topic I post about and if it will get a lot of responses as I like to thin that my threads are fairly popular and relevant in certain contexts.
I haven't seen that many happ slapping recordings on phones however I have seen quite a lot of fighting in general, and crappy stupid gang videos which are really laughable. Mobiles are good in the technological sense but in terms of privacy they make privacy worse f anything.

If that was interpreted literally, it would be like them saying "I laugh out louded", which doesn't make any grammatical sense. Therefore I think it's much easier just to not use the acronym "lol" at all. Plus, people of the older generation tend to use the acronym "lol" to mean "lots of love". I found this out when my Grandma sent me a text saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you next week, LOL!". I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. I then realised that she was actually using the term to mean "lots of love" which is obviously a lot less offensive.

One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it, chances are there will be a repeat and also you may be able to watch it online, but I'm not sure if channel 4 have an "i-player" as such. I think the "photo" thing is another typo, or possibly your fingers disobeying your brain again
If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I found when on MSN "lol" tends to be an absolutely fantastic conversation killer between two people who only vaguely know each other. The most popular thread I made was on the Fox "24" Forum about 3 years ago in the off topic section entitled "The every Words End in An "a" thread". It went on for a while and it got over 700 responses (I did post more than once but not that many times). I think it got 745 responses before it faded away. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is
). When I first joined here I got a pm which scared me a lot, it was completely random and it was basically a fellow forumer declaring their love for me (It could have been a troll though). There's no way (that I can think of) of replying to the word "lol" so the conversation does tend to trail off into oblivion. Both acronyms and emoticons without any additional text are generic killers, I'd say.
I also agree that the acronyms are generally highly innacurate. Even when people just say "lol" I doubt they are actually laughing out loud. Perhaps smiling to themselves or quietly chuckling, but I rarely see people fully laughing out loud when talking to people on the computer. Perhaps there should be a LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) or LOQ (laughing out quiet) or GATH (grinning at the humour) or WLBCBB (would laugh but can't be bothered). Those would be much more accurate.

That's a very impressive number of responses indeed! I've never made a game-type post before but they do look quite fun. I think the post with the most responses I've ever made was some art WIP post I made on another site. I can't remember how many responses it got but I remember it was several hundred if not a thousand. It probably doesn't count though because I was updating it with my own posts quite a lot, so the actual number of non-me responses will have been less. I've never actually sent a PM to anyone without having one sent to me first. I'm too paranoid that they won't reply or that they will mis-interpret what I've written. I got freaked out when I got my first PM on this site too, I thought it might be someone criticising me or trying to kick me off the site. It wasn't though.
I rarely get phoned but when I don't have the number in my phonebook or it is withheld I never answer. I get worried enough even when I know who it is (I do the same thing as you - worrying about what the conversation will be about and how it will go and what I should say) so it's far too stressful when I don't know the person.
I do prefer texting over phoning but I still get a bit worried when texting. I'm never sure what to say and whether I should talk in text speak or not. I also worry about whether I'm supposed to reply or not and whether they will interpret what I say the right way, but yes, text is better because you have time to think about what to say and you're not under so much pressure.

Your acronyms do make complete sense, but for that reason people probably won't use them. Unforuntately some people like everything to not make sense which is reall weird IMO. I might start using them actually. Another few acronyms I've seen before are: dw (don't worry) and "Apu" (as per usual - strange one).

When I get phoned it seems to happen in spurts. Loads of people will text me and ring me within a few days and I will use a fair bit of credit (I do have free texts though) and then it will be like another week or two before somebody nexts rings/texts me. Werid really.
Unknowns people or withhelds may as well not bother ringing me. I always think that they're prank callers. For that reason I'm very wary of who I share my mobile number out with (I think I may have said this before but I'm not sure).
Yeah I prefer texting for the same reason. As texting you can pre-plan things and when on the phone you can't, it's spontaneous when on the phone and I don't like being put on the spot.

Also, sometimes I will realise that what I'm saying isn't making any sense or is too fast/quiet for anybody to understand and so will end up awkwardly trailing off half way through a sentence. This probably makes things worse but I know if I carry on I'll just dig myself and everyone around me further into a deep hole of confusion and awkwardness. I don't get why I can't just say things properly, why it has to be all so awkward and uncontrollable.
I never know how to answer when people ask "what's up?". Part of me is tempted to say "up is indicating movement to or position at a higher place" but I never do say that. I always end up saying something along the lines of "nothing much" because I can't think of anything that is "up". I don't think that's the answer people are looking for though. They probably want something more interesting than that.

I didn't think about the difficulty with pooping for some reason. Although when people say "(s)he cut his/her nose off to spite his/her face" I always think about what would happen when the noseless person sneezed. It would be quite disgusting, I think. I can't think of any other exclusively British profanity either, although I can think of a word that is only a swear word in America, and is actually common un-offending slang over here. "Damn" is considered a profanity? I guess it might be something to do with the blasphemy connotations.

I get the same thing too. I will go a month without any texts (8)) and then the next month I'll get several people texting me at once.
I get worried that they are prank calls too. I also worry that it's someone who typed in the wrong number and that scares me.
If/when I start to speak to fast and trail off mid-sentence I pretty much always end up finishing with the word: "so", just seems the most logical word to break off on most of the time. I trail off mid-sentence usually because I realise that either everybody is bored with what I'm talking about and want change the subject; or they may be confused or even possibly they have stopped listening to me

I think that they either want you to say "nothing much" like you said you usually do and also I regard it as just a possible greeting. I tend to say "alright" or "Hi" when that happens. I don't necessarily think that they want you to give a detailed answer to "what's up", because if they wanted a detailed response they would say more than "what's up", they could possibly say: "what's up, how are you today? What have you been up to" and that kind of stuff. That's how I see it anyway.

Maybe they're planning on doing a spin-off (I think that's what it's called) and focus on some of the minor characters. Yeah spin-offs never seem to work nearly as well as the original series. I wouldn't bother watching the spin-off if one was made. Even if 1 was made then it would probably get cancelled after one series.

I'm still undecided on my favourite character. I think it's a 3-way tie between JD, Ted and Janitor, although Dr. Cox comes in really close. I'm not sure if I could chose an absolute favourite out of them, because I like them all for different reasons. Sorry for the incredibly vague answer, I can never make decisions.
I know what you mean, I like all the characters but I couldn't say who my next favourite character is after Dr Cox. I think the janitor is a bit weird but some of the random things he does are funny, also I feel so sorry for Ted. Elliot's cool because she's rather weird as well but Dr Cox is soo cool, if I was gay I would marry him I don't particularly like Todd though, his massive desire for sex and his rude puns are a bit freaky.
I'm not sure if I particularly like the Janitor on his own, but when he is with others it can be very funny. I like it when Elliot goes all high pitched and crazy, and how she seems to be a magnet for ridiculously unlucky events. I don't like Todd either, I think his character can get a bit repetitive after a while and I've never really found sexual innuendos that funny.
The Janitor and J.D are good together and Elliot is rather unlucky, especially when it comes to love.
I've just been on the internet and found out some info (erm this does contain the odd spoiler) read below if you want to find out:
Season 8 of Scrubs will begin to air between September and November (not 100% official) and will more than likely be on E4 first.
All characters will be in the next series (bar Dr Kelso) who is replaced by Courtney Cox Arquette (I'm not sure what her characters name will be though)
There will be 18 episodes and will more than likely be the final season.
There is a spin-off being created called "Scrubs, Interns" where it will follow some of the new interns (who debut in season
, before this spin-off will eventually will become what we know now as Scrubs.Season 9 however will feature most of the current main characters in the first 6 episodes.
I did find out a few plot spoilers but I won't share (bit disappointed I found them myself tbh)
I'm not that bothered about Dr Kelso leaving, he was never up there with my favourite characters, disappointed though that the next season will be the last season of Scrubs in its current format.

I was happy when I found out that all of the main cast were staying, Also Dr Kelso was beginning to bore me, but when I think of Dr Kelso I always think of one line paticular which he said in one of the episodes when he said: "What's got two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Bob Kelso!" Season 9 however a lot of the main cast won't be in it
although I think I remember reading that Turk and Dr Cox will be staying on for all of both season 8 and 9.Also I used to quite like Big Brother, in the earlier series, Series 5 was my favourite (if I remember correctly) but since about series 6 it's been terrible I haven't watched it in years nowadays the only auditionees who get in have got to be really bitchy; really dumb or have some sort of disability or defect, it's ridiculous. Big Brother isn't worth watching now IMO and should no longer be aired. Celebrity Big Brother is also a waste of time because 99% of the "Celebrities" aren't really worthy celebs they've just been formerly famous and are trying to restart their previously dead career.
I don't watch E4 as much as I used to but even still putting Big Brother on ahead of Scrubs doesn't surprise me tbh but it's wrong there's no need to have 6 hours of Big Brother being aired every night with 5 of those hours being pointless repeats. Scrubs is also waaay better than Big Brother
Well said. I agree with everything you wrote about Big Brother. I also watched a series when I was younger, I think it may have been series 5 as well. Either way, it was before all of the housemates were deranged celebrity wannabees who had about as much brain as an ostrich. I've never heard of a single Big Brother celebrity and I'm not surprised. I doubt any proper celebs would want to be confined in a small house with others for however many days, watched constantly by the public. It's enough to destroy anyone's sanity.
I don't watch it as much either, mainly because my twin's always hogging the TV, and he won't let me be in the same room as him (not that I'd want to)....Anyway, I'm endlessly surprised by the amount of people that actually do watch Big Brother. I can't see its appeal any more at all. Though I guess if nobody was watching it they would have stopped airing it by now.

I agree. You're not exactly going to get very famous if you leave after a week in the house, either (well, you wouldn't get very famous even if you stayed all the way through - but still).
Plus, it's very unlikely that anyone who participates in Big Brother actually gets a good reputation. The public are bound to see flaws in your personality or beliefs if they watch you ever second of the day, and these flaws are then amplified by the media. Barely anyone comes out of the house more liked than they were when they went in. I can't comprehend why anyone would want to be famous, not in that way, anyway. I can understand being famous for some achievement, like winning the Nobel prize, but these people haven't done anything. Fame just means you don't have a second to yourself; your personal life is always being prodded at and photographed. Sounds hideous to me.

If I was locked up in Big Brother full of strangers I would be able to sleep I think however I would be really paranoid that someone was going to come in and do something to me (e.g. shave my eyebrows off - a bit random) but I would never be in a room full of strangers because I would most probably just sit in a corner and cry if that happened, that's why I don't like parties, because it's mostly strangers who I would have to socialise with and the thought of doing that just overwhelms me completely
I can only think of one person of was in Big brother and stayed famous for more than 6 months, and that was Jade Goody, firstly because of her controversial race row with Shillipa Shetty so everybody hated her but then she gets Terminal Cancer and then everyone is her best friend (this is nothing against Jade Goody, I'm just having a go at the naive public who believe whatever they are told to believe). I did feel sorry for her when she became terminally ill but in the same breathe if a random member of the public was to become terminally ill then no were near as many people would take notice.

People who do genuinely good things to help others deserve fame but the Big Brother idiots don't at all. As much as I now hate Big Brother. I despise MTV. Jade Goody was controversial at best, alright I was feeling a little bit sorry for her family when she passed away (especially her two sons, since she died on mother's day) but prior to her death all the news was about her and proper newsworthy material was being shunted out (e.g. the credit crunch) which should have been given greater coverage at the time instead of her (a little news about her would have been perfectly acceptable, but there was waaay too much). But the people who were saying they hated her one day and the next day saying she's the best thing that's ever lived are extreme hyprocrites, as you correctly stated
You should be really glad that you don't have MTV, they show loads and loads of $hit (sorry to swear, but that's he only way I can put it) which naive teenagers will watch with such intent and interest that they must act exactly in the way they seen on the TV. it's sad really that self image and peer pressure dominates the teenage years these days

TV seems to work backwards, with the least important/most stupid things getting the best TV coverage first with the serious issues being raised last and only briefly. Although Sky News does provide a very good news service compared to a lot of news channels, they still to exaggerate things sometimes.I think it's shocking how each year the age kids are 'growing up' gets lower. When I was 10, I was still walking around with a 101 dalmatians lunch box, playing with pokemon cards. Yet these days, 10-year-olds are walking around with mobile phones and 5 layers of makeup. I'm also a bit sceptical about Madonna's new adoption. I don't quite understand why she has to go to Malawi to adopt, against the rules of that country, when there are plenty of 'unwanted' kids elsewhere, whom could be legally adopted in a much more official and relaxed situation. It feels almost as if she snatched those children away just because she could. I understand that the kids she adopted weren't in the best of situations before she adopted them, and I understand that this is therefore a nice thing to do, but it does seem like she's trying to get the public to like her, rather than doing it purely for the kids. I may be wrong and I probably haven't heard the full story but, to be honest, I'm not sure if I would want to. There are many people in the world doing good deeds at a given point in time, so why is it only the celebrity-involved (and usually much more minor) good deeds that are given such weight by the news channels? It seems bizarre that these people who often only got famous by very trivial means could take up such a huge section of public interest.
When I was 10 I loved my toy cars, Crash Banidcoot and I'd only ever been on a pc in school, I'd hardly ever heard of a mobile phone and I didn't know anything about make up, who wore it and why. A kit of parents would say that giving their 10 year old child is for them to use in case of an emergency, which I understand completely, and agree with. But everything else isn't right now. 10 year olds won't be playing toy cars or child-themed videogames, but instead they'll be on the net on stuff like facebook, (I think that this a waste of time and a way for paedophile's to do part of their work), porn is ridiculously easy to access for anyone on a pc and I hate the fact that so many girls aged 10 and up wear make-up which they don't need at all and shouldn't really want to wear in the first place. Childhood innocence and hassle-free life are hardly allowed to exist these days. The pressures that magazines and tv creats just makes things even worse.
What I didn't get with Madonna's adoption was that at first she wasn't allowed to adopt a second child, however a few weeks later this was overturned and then she was. Why did this happen? I didn't get that at all. The judge should either have said no for the first child and then no for the second child, or yes for adopting both children (the first time of asking). The Malawian judges can't just say yes to one and then no to another really, it's not like the children are part of a Pic N Mix. Allowing one child to be apoted and the other not to be (at first) is completely wrong in my opinion. I would like to know what Madonna's motives are behind these adoptions, I certainly hope it ain't for publicity, but it most probably is. The news channels made her out to be the best thing ever when the reality is children get adopted all the time but 99.99% of adoptions aren't given any news time at all. If no other adoptions are given news-time, then why should Madonna's?
The first time I properly started using the internet (for anything other than homework) was when I was 13.5, and then I still had dial-up so didn't go on it much. I've never joined any site like facebook or myspace, as they've never appealed to me at all. I prefer sites with community and anonymity. I think children are expose themselves to a lot of adult content on the internet and television these days. I was still watching kids' cartoons until I was about 14. It's a real shame because I know I miss the childhood innocence, so I just think it's a waste that these kids seem so keen to leave that age behind. I dreaded being a teenager when I was a child, but most children seem to look forward to it.

Exactly my thoughts, hundreds of adoptions are going on around the world but no one else gets a mention for their kindness, just Madonna. I understand that she is in the public eye a lot because of her profession, but I think the media takes this sort of thing to extremes.
The first time I went on the internet was when I was about 13 as well, and like you it was only dial up so it was patchy at best and I couldn't really goon it for very long. Computers bored me at first and I didn't have the foggiest on how to use them. I used to spend a lot of time on my PS2, as I knew how it worked. I did get a MSN and tried to act NT in terms of communicating random people at time, but it never really worked. MSN is rather boring now when I come to think of it actually and I haven't been on it for about a year. Facebook and Myspace I am a strong hater of. They bore me to death and I really really really don't see the point in them at all, to me there's absolutely no appeal whatsoever and It think that they're basically a haven for paedo's. Also myspace and facebook I hear are used a lot to arrange "school fights" as silly as that may sound that is really bad.
Before I joined this forum I used to post on the forum for the programme "24", but even then it wasn't much, because I got nervous posting on that forum (which is a bit weird). Children do indeed expose themselves to a lot of adult content and TV in general these days, because traditional family time exists around the TV now. Adult content is too easy to access and can spread very quickly. I've lost count of the number of porn movies and other violent movies I've seen on people's mobile phones. Phones are used to bully as well now through texts. This is why I'm very, very careful on who I share my number with. I never liked watching cartoons beyond the age of 12 but I replaced this by watching a lot of sport, which I see nothing wrong with. I used to be terrified of turning 18, I remember crying once I got that worried about it (weird I know).
The adoption system in this case is very, very screwed. It makes no sense to me at all, even if it did depend on the child's situation, which in both cases seemed to me to be very similar, both poverty-stricken and both in need of help. She could well of bribed then, it's seems bad bribing them but it could be for the child's good in the future. I hope if I was to adopt a child from anywhere in the future that it would be for the child's good, and not for a publicity stunt...
I go on MSN occasionally but I find it awkward unless the person on the other side is very chatty and I know them very well. I never talk to people I know in RL online because I find that really awkward and fake. I've never had any desire to join facebook etc. even though almost everyone else my age is on it. Even my gran has an account.
Part of the reason I avoid facebook etc. is because it would be so easy for people to post insulting comments on there and I'd feel like a loser because I wouldn't have many friends or contacts or whatever.I feel nervous about posting on some sites too. When I was 13/14 I joined a sim site/forum and it took me about a year to bring up the courage to go into the chatroom and about another year to make a post on the forum.
I was worried everyone would reject me or shout at me. I even get a little apprehensive before posting a topic on WP .I agree, there's a lot of innapropriate videos on kids' mobile phones. Plus, there's the 'happy slappers' who think it's fun to beat people up and video it on their mobiles.

MSN is just plain boring and pointless to me now, it only vaguely interested me at the best of times and when it comes to chatting to good mates I used to do it a lot but I've found that chatting to them in real life is much better as you get to see the person's facial expressions as well (not that I can read all of them) I hate typing "lol" as iI find it patronising and boring as well. It's ridiculously easy for insulting comments to be posted and I highly doubt that the website is being moderated properly so a lot of these comments remain unnoticed. I don't feel like a loser by not having a Facebook account and you shouldn't feel like one whether you have one or not.I was shy at all at first on posting on the 24 forum, but then gradually I became more and more shy towards it and I stopped posting completely. When I post on here I'm a little tense as to whether the topic I post about and if it will get a lot of responses as I like to thin that my threads are fairly popular and relevant in certain contexts.
I haven't seen that many happ slapping recordings on phones however I have seen quite a lot of fighting in general, and crappy stupid gang videos which are really laughable. Mobiles are good in the technological sense but in terms of privacy they make privacy worse f anything.

If that was interpreted literally, it would be like them saying "I laugh out louded", which doesn't make any grammatical sense. To be right it would have to be "I laughed out loud" which would be something along the lines of "I l'dol", which is also quite hard to interpret. Therefore I think it's much easier just to not use the acronym "lol" at all. Plus, people of the older generation tend to use the acronym "lol" to mean "lots of love". I found this out when my Grandma sent me a text saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you next week, LOL!". I was quite offended because I thought she was being sarcastic and that the idea of her looking forward to seeing me was some kind of joke. I then realised that she was actually using the term to mean "lots of love" which is obviously a lot less offensive.

I also worry about whether my posts will get any responses. I would feel rejected and idiotic if I made a post and nobody replied to it, because I would think the point I made was not worthy of mentioning so therefore should not have been posted.
One thing I like about mobile phones is that you can tell who is phoning you before you answer the phone. That way I can prepare myself before I pick it up. I hate answering the phone and not knowing who is on the other end. Also, if I don't recognise the number I can just not pick it up. I hate phone conversations at the best of the time and it's even worse when I dont' know who I'm talking to.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it, chances are there will be a repeat and also you may be able to watch it online, but I'm not sure if channel 4 have an "i-player" as such. I think the "photo" thing is another typo, or possibly your fingers disobeying your brain again
If I remember correct xD on MSN was an emotion where basically it was a variation of the casual big cheest grin, just in a diagonal fashion and the "grin" as such was wider as well. I found when on MSN "lol" tends to be an absolutely fantastic conversation killer between two people who only vaguely know each other. Rofl is a stupid one, not because it doesn't make sense, but because I highly doubt that anyone is going to find something that funny that they're going to "roll on the floor laughing" now are they. Also Lmao is another pointless one because you can't laugh your arse off, or at least I don't think so

) so if I was you I would have reacted in the exact same way, I would have taken this as sarcasm as well and I also would have probably complained to my mum or dad about it Thankfully all the threads that I ever have posted on any forum has had some sort of response, althought not always that popular, I've never made a thread were I got no responses. The most popular thread I made was on the Fox "24" Forum about 3 years ago in the off topic section entitled "The every Words End in An "a" thread". It went on for a while and it got over 700 responses (I did post more than once but not that many times). I think it got 745 responses before it faded away. I don't think that that's bad going at all. All other threads that I have ever made have tended to generate less than 50 responses though. I also get a bit nervous on here when I decide to pm someone, as I get a bit nervous as to whether they will respond or not. I've only ever sent a pm to a few people on here as I used to get too nervous at first. Thankfully everyone who I have sent a pm to has responded to me (I wonder who one of them is
). When I first joined here I got a pm which scared me a lot, it was completely random and it was basically a fellow forumer declaring their love for me (It could have been a troll though). Both acronyms and emoticons without any additional text are generic killers, I'd say.
I also agree that the acronyms are generally highly innacurate. Even when people just say "lol" I doubt they are actually laughing out loud. Perhaps smiling to themselves or quietly chuckling, but I rarely see people fully laughing out loud when talking to people on the computer. Perhaps there should be a LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) or LOQ (laughing out quiet) or GATH (grinning at the humour) or WLBCBB (would laugh but can't be bothered). Those would be much more accurate.

That's a very impressive number of responses indeed! I've never made a game-type post before but they do look quite fun. I think the post with the most responses I've ever made was some art WIP post I made on another site. I can't remember how many responses it got but I remember it was several hundred if not a thousand. It probably doesn't count though because I was updating it with my own posts quite a lot, so the actual number of non-me responses will have been less. I've never actually sent a PM to anyone without having one sent to me first. I'm too paranoid that they won't reply or that they will mis-interpret what I've written. I got freaked out when I got my first PM on this site too, I thought it might be someone criticising me or trying to kick me off the site. It wasn't though.
I rarely get phoned but when I don't have the number in my phonebook or it is withheld I never answer. I get worried enough even when I know who it is (I do the same thing as you - worrying about what the conversation will be about and how it will go and what I should say) so it's far too stressful when I don't know the person.
I do prefer texting over phoning but I still get a bit worried when texting. I'm never sure what to say and whether I should talk in text speak or not. I also worry about whether I'm supposed to reply or not and whether they will interpret what I say the right way, but yes, text is better because you have time to think about what to say and you're not under so much pressure.

Your acronyms do make complete sense, but for that reason people probably won't use them. Unforuntately some people like everything to not make sense which is reall weird IMO. I might start using them actually. Another few acronyms I've seen before are: dw (don't worry) and "Apu" (as per usual - strange one).

When I get phoned it seems to happen in spurts. Loads of people will text me and ring me within a few days and I will use a fair bit of credit (I do have free texts though) and then it will be like another week or two before somebody nexts rings/texts me. Werid really.
Unknowns people or withhelds may as well not bother ringing me. I always think that they're prank callers. For that reason I'm very wary of who I share my mobile number out with (I think I may have said this before but I'm not sure).
Yeah I prefer texting for the same reason. As texting you can pre-plan things and when on the phone you can't, it's spontaneous when on the phone and I don't like being put on the spot.

Also, sometimes I will realise that what I'm saying isn't making any sense or is too fast/quiet for anybody to understand and so will end up awkwardly trailing off half way through a sentence. This probably makes things worse but I know if I carry on I'll just dig myself and everyone around me further into a deep hole of confusion and awkwardness. I don't get why I can't just say things properly, why it has to be all so awkward and uncontrollable.
I never know how to answer when people ask "what's up?". Part of me is tempted to say "up is indicating movement to or position at a higher place" but I never do say that. I always end up saying something along the lines of "nothing much" because I can't think of anything that is "up". I don't think that's the answer people are looking for though. They probably want something more interesting than that.

I didn't think about the difficulty with pooping for some reason. Although when people say "(s)he cut his/her nose off to spite his/her face" I always think about what would happen when the noseless person sneezed. It would be quite disgusting, I think. I can't think of any other exclusively British profanity either, although I can think of a word that is only a swear word in America, and is actually common un-offending slang over here. "Damn" is considered a profanity? I guess it might be something to do with the blasphemy connotations.

If/when I start to speak to fast and trail off mid-sentence I pretty much always end up finishing with the word: "so", just seems the most logical word to break off on most of the time. I trail off mid-sentence usually because I realise that either everybody is bored with what I'm talking about and want change the subject; or they may be confused or even possibly they have stopped listening to me

I think that they either want you to say "nothing much" like you said you usually do and also I regard it as just a possible greeting. I tend to say "alright" or "Hi" when that happens. I don't necessarily think that they want you to give a detailed answer to "what's up", because if they wanted a detailed response they would say more than "what's up", they could possibly say: "what's up, how are you today? What have you been up to" and that kind of stuff. That's how I see it anyway.

I get rang and texted more commonly in the summer than the winter because of the long summer days and warmer temperatures if offers great conditions to play tennis in, and I like to play tennis a hobby, I get asked to play quite a lot. I've played 3 times so far this week (and I'm playing again tomorrow most likely).
Same, except I normally end with "so...yeah" instead. I think it's quite a common thing to have a set phrase at the end of a sentence; my friend often ends her sentences with "sort of thing" even when those words make no sense in the actual sentence. Then again, I think said friend is quite Aspie herself, tbh.

Let's just say it's a reasonably common slang word for cigarettes over here, but is an insult in America. Some kids are starting to use it as an insult over here as well, but I don't think it will ever have the same effect. I'm not even particularly sure what it's supposed to mean/represent.
