I keep having the same 5-15 seconds of a song being re-looped and re-played constantly in my head, loudly. It's been happening for 3 days, ever since I quit taking abilify. Sometimes, the song changes. It's always something I don't like and haven't heard in years. A few times, I don't even know where the song comes from.

Does this happen with anyone else with autism?

I have music playing in my head 24 hours a day, every day, without exception. Usually, the jukebox, as I call it, plays 10-15 second snippets, for 2-3 days at a time, but sometimes several songs alternate. All of this music keeps time for my inevitable perpetual repetitive motions.

I always thought that this was part of autism, as opposed to a separate issue.

Maybe it is an "autism thing." Still, I wonder if a neurologist could help fix it.

Don't take life so seriously. It isn't permanent!

I've always thought this was associated with Musical Intelligence. Anytime I encounter someone complaining about not being able to get some song out of their head, I ask them what instrument they play. Most of the time the person gives me a surprised look and then proceeds to tell me.

I personally am glad that Hurricane Bill has finally moved far enough away from the North American continent that we no longer hear daily updates of the storm's progress. While we were still getting updates, I got to be entertained in my head by hearing portions of a song also called "Bill" that was made popular in the 1976 by a group called "The Fifth Dimension".
