I like it all man! :D I listen to alot [ALOT] of metal.... I like some hip-hop, I have to be in the right mood for it though. Alternative Rock is probably the second most listened to. For the most part though I like my music the same way I am! Hard to understand, alot of emotion, and not well known lol!

I have very diverse musical tastes, with the caveat that the stuff that I listen to is not going to be heard over commercial airwaves. -- When I listen to the radio, I usually confine myself to the lower end of the FM Dial, where college radio, and other formats of non-commercial radio always seem to be.

Actually I do think being on the spectrum influences your music taste. Of course you must consider wether someone is more visually or audio oriented. And don't forget a theory is always statistically speaking... you can't speak for every individual.

My guess would have been that the audio thinkers on the spectrum would like complex music and music that had a lot of contrast and (in rhythm and tone)... Like classical, Jazz or (hard)rock. Popmusic, techno and R&B should be less popular.

This sounds like the sort of music Arnold J. Rimmer from Red Dwarf would enjoy.

I can imagine him listening to that as well.

As long as it's played on a Hammond organ, Rimmer is a fan.

Speaking for myself, I like a little bit of everything; I do love experimental/minimalist music too. Especially Philip Glass.

I have always been facinated with 70s heavy metal bands.
Like Led Zepplin, Ozzy era Black Sabbath, early Judas Priest,
AliceCooper, Early Scorpians, The Stooges, Michel Shenker era UFO,
Early Van Halen and Thin Lizzy.
But I also love folk artist Like Simon and Garfunkel, and Sandy Denny

If you like Charpentier's Stabat Mater, here is a piece that you might enjoy. It is the lament from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas.

I like a very wide variety of music - anything other than country or rap and I'm a happy camper. 8)

I like at least some music from a lot of genres. Pop, rock, country, metal, folk, classical.

I do tend to like faster-paced music with an upbeat tone. There are very few slow songs I can sit through.
