But you can't answer it yourself! A genuine psychopath doesn't consider himself grandios or to have an inflated view of himself, he thinks he has a perfectly reasonable view of himself and there are similar problems with most of the statements. A lot of psychopaths have in fact claimed to have great empathy. I.e, there's nothing wrong with them, it's the rest of the world that's made up of idiots.

Not exactly.

Psychopaths know they're different (just like autistics do). But unlike non-psychopaths, they don't necessarily think there's anything wrong with they way they act.

The problem with self-report assessment of psychopathy is that the psychopath is likely to lie and 'fake good'. But that's when the score actually has the potential to affect something they care about (eg whether they get parole) - on an online test taken for fun, a psychopath is probably about as honest as anyone else is.

Incidentally, I got a 3.

And here's a list of other forums where people took the same test, in case anyone's interested:

I scored a 9. What would a psychopath score, it doesn't say...........

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out because it only gives a "diagnosis" after you score 20. I just kept putting 2 points in each box to see if anything would happen.

6, mainly for impulsiveness and dysfunction. Maybe a should have given my self a few more points in coldness and less points in impulsiveness, who knows. Anyway it looks like I'm not a pyschopath.

I only got a 5, so I guess that means I'm not a psychopath.

I don't buy it as a "real psychological test" considering the home page:

http://www.arkancide.com/index.htm

The points are too obvious, and it would be extremely easy for a true psychopath to simply enter "0" in every single box.

I answered honestly anyway, and got a 5. A truly good test for this though, would not be so easy to fool.

I got a 3. Put down a 1 for three categories, although many of those categories listed multiple traits, and usually just one trait applied to me slightly.

You don't have to. The "Always in the wrong place at the wrong time" under your name says it all.
