Penn's arguments are the best I have heard on the issue. The study linking vaccines to autism was proven false and Jenny McCarthy still continues her evilness. What will it take to get her and the Antivaxers to just SHUT UP?

There is nothing that can get Jenny McCarthy to SHUT UP about anything at any time. If something existed, I don't think that's information anyone would just sit on and not share!

Because autism is caused by a difference in neurological structure, and once the structure of a brain is set, which happens before birth, nothing short of surgery or blunt-force trauma will change it.

I'm sorry, but that is utterly false. Only the most rudimentary brain structure is set before birth. The amount of neurological development and formation of new neural pathways happens at an insane pace after birth once the infant begins processing stimuli.

This is proven very easily via numerous studies showing how infant brains develop within the first few months of birth.

Maybe because the study that you claim was proven false was not really proven false. Looking over the matter, I see a crucifixion of someone who took a stand against the Big Pharma lobby. They claimed his study made false assertions. Actually, it did not. Others drew conclusions beyond what he stated, and OTHER RESEARCHERS doing valid work have likewise concluded that additives in vaccines are causing problems. The Big Pharma lobby attacked a high-profile researcher as if his work is the only work out there, but there are several other researchers confirming what he found and have gone beyond the limits of his works. There is so much money behind mandating vaccinations in larger numbers and at younger ages that you have to be careful about the motives behind their claims on how safe they are.

The "anti vaccine" people don't have a monetary dog in the fight. The "pro vaccine" people have BILLIONS of dollars at stake if people start balking at getting vaccinations so early or not demanding scrutiny on how they are made and distributed.

Penn and Teller are Las Vegas comedians. Anything they say about anything must be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. Their MO is to offend. I did like the recycling and the bottled wate episodes though.

Remember that P&T ARE NOT a news source.

They may be comedians and into prestidigitation and legerdemain but they're serious about everything they preach on BS. Real eye-opening stuff.

See, P&T are libertarians. Liberty for all with minimal government interference (eg, you have the right to put into your body, have sex with whomever you please and so on)

Jesus was a carpenter, wasn't he? Why should we listen to a carpenter?
