One of the few Slayer songs I can play all the way through on guitar (except the leads :x ).

I wanted to post the studio version off "Show No Mercy" because the sound quality sucks on all these live versions, but I couldn't find one. I saw Slayer live at the Cameo theatre on Miami Beach in 1988 during their "South of Heaven" tour.

Two of my favorite songs from Hypocrisy... a Death Metal band from Sweden.

One of the seminal black metal bands. The studio version of this song is lame though:

One of the four Burzum songs I really like....very cool video too.

One of my favorite Doors songs.....incredibly haunting and beautiful.

I think many with AS/NVLD/ASD can relate to the intro at least.

I don't listen to songs on repeat, but I like some a lot more then others. Here are a few of my favourites...

25 Minites to Go-about a man being hanged on the gallows.
White Horse by Taylor Swift makes me think of my breakup with my 1st ex.
I like the song "Let's Roll" about the 2001 September 11th attacks.

I listen to songs repeatedly a lot. I have Winamp set to repeat. I usually select a song & leave it on till I turn winamp off or I select another song. I also select CDs or artist to play the whole thing in folder or whatever.

I don't really have one song at the moment cuz I listen to lots repeatedly but my favorite artist rite now is Miranda Cosgrove. I'll pick her song Raining Sunshine here . When I 1st heard it; I thought it was very pretty but not really my style(to optimistic) but I started liking it after a while

I have quite a few that I listen to extensively...though I'll only list the "few" here.

Katatonia - "The Day And Then The Shade"
Long Distance Calling - "The Nearing Grave"
Ulver - "Wheel Of Conclusion"
Buckethead - "Soothsayer"
Isis - "Altered Course"
Silversun Pickups - "Royal We"
Agalloch - "Limbs"

I'd say I become overly obsessive when Katatonia comes out with a new album. But there was a period between when I was 11 til I was 14 that I listened to ONLY Metallica. Nothing else. And everyday I wore a different Metallica shirt. I was WAY too obsessive over them back then.....but I still love 'em :D

At one point, I was ashamed that I actually DO this!

Most music by the 1970s/80s band Chic whether performed by them or written for someone else! There are a few jazzy tunes ("Savoir Faire," "So Fine," "You Got Some Love For Me")they've done that take me to a place...

For a while I was stuck on listening to their one-time lead singer Sylver Logan-Sharp sing "At Last I Am Free" and "I Want Your Love" live. Something about her voice.

Right now, I seem addicted to "I Hear Music In The Streets" by Unlimited Touch - another song that takes me to that place I'll just call THERE!

"That Boy Could Dance" by Weird Al....even though I can't dance the song otherwise perfectly describes me.

Also "Opportunities" by Pet Shop Boys

Dark, heavy and raw acidy rock from the early 70's. Very powerful and majestic organ playing and vocals.

The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby

Normally it is one song playing continuously in my head.

"I Want to Tell You" - The Beatles (George Harrison specifically) Has lyrics that I really relate to:

I want to tell you
My head is filled with things to say
When you're here
All those words, they seem to slip away

When I get near you,
The games begin to drag me down
It's all right
I'll make you maybe next time around

But if I seem to act unkind
It's only me, it's not my mind
That is confusing things.

I want to tell you
I feel hung up but I don't know why,
I don't mind
I could wait forever, I've got time

Sometimes I wish I knew you well,
Then I could speak my mind and tell you
Maybe you'd understand

I want to tell you
I feel hung up but I don't know why,
I don't mind
I could wait forever, I've got time, I've got time, I've got time
