I've been watching a lot of Bones recently.

I also realized that as a little kid I watched that show Small Wonder all of the time, loved it, made my mom tape it, etc. I watched some clips on YouTube recently. wow, that should have been a sign right there. The whole show is about how this little girl is actually a robot and doesn't know how to respond to or act like people.

Bones addiction here :D it's amazing right, just the connection between Bones and booth.. incredible.
Bones is def. aspie to me.
i also love that the show regulary has really strange killings or.. they predict it to be an extra terrestrial abduction, i love it like that.

I agree. I'm so glad they have it on Netflix so I can catch up. I used to watch it in the beginning but couldn't keep track of when it was on & other life stuff happened, lol.

Also I like your Paul avatar, funny movie.

Not a big fan of TV, but I'm drawn to The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I relate to Steve Carell's character "Michael" and also somewhat to "Dwight Schrute".

I like Curb Your Enthusiam because I relate to Larry David's problems with certain social conventions and expectations, as well as his annoyance with other people's behavior, just like me. Larry David is my favorite jew, after Jesus and the Apostle Paul!! :D

Unlike other aspies, I'm not drawn to Sci-Fi or Fantasy. I can't stand watching anything that flouts the Laws of Physics, Thermodynamics, etc.... ...basically anything that strays away from reality.

Spock, definetly! I uncontiously mimic people who appeal to me and I identify with, and Spock is a major one. A more recent tv person to obsess about and mimic for me is Sherlock Holmes, especially in the new BBC Sherlock version. I ientify myself with him on many levels. (Or thesame character in the 2009 movie where robert downey jr. Sits under a table in the dark staring into space)

LOST LOST LOST

I was so sad when it ended and I STILL miss it.

Star Trek (all of them) also but not to the same degree as LOST.

I never got into Big Bang theory, it's a sitcom and I don't like sitcoms. The couple I watched Sheldon hit too close to home. My husband even said "look, it's male you he needs his special chair!"

Hahaha... ha...

When the animated series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends came out, I quickly became obsessed with it - I had literally TONS of imaginary friends as a kid, and loved the idea of a shelter for ones that had been abandoned, outgrown, or cruelly separated from the kids who imagined them. I could also relate to Mac, the main kid in the show who created Bloo - I so wished I could go to Foster's every day after school with him, and hang out with Wilt, cuz he was my favorite "Friend." :D

I used to tape every new episode of the show that premiered from late 2004 - early 2006, and was sooooo bummed when the show ended in 2008. Cartoon Network/Time Warner: Release the other seasons on DVD already! *srsface*

I was obsessed with Robot Wars and Mr. Ed. I even recorded all of the episodes so I can watch them over and over, especially Robot Wars.

The original Neon Genesis Evangelion is this for me. I recognise much of myself in the character of Ayanami Rei (quiet, loner, has trouble understanding the emotions of others). Beside that, there are traits of Shinji and Asuka that I can recognise (Shinji's social anxiety and Asuka's perfectionism). Finally, the adults in this show also seem to have some issues with properly interacting with each other. Ritsuko collects cat paraphernalia as a hobby and comments on the strangeness of romantic relationships, Misato is a womanchild, and Gendo is a habitual manipulator. The complete broken-ness of he interactions between these characters, the dysfunctional nature of it, just reminds me a whole lot of what my life own life and social environment looks like.

And then they had to go and Rebuild the anime to make the characters a bit happier and more relatable to the general audience.

At the moment it's Frasier again. I've got all 11 series and I watch them over and over again, this time I've been doing it for the last 5 months or so. Before than it was The Big Bang Theory and before that it was Frasier again.
