I am wondering if it is Asperger related, but I am obsessed with the number 3. I always do things by three.

Me too. I spent elem, middle, high, and part of college seeing if numbers were divisible by three. If I found a license plate, phone number, etc that was not divisible by three but I could add a "1" or "2", I would search for another number with an extra "1" or "2". I could spend hours with food bar codes. TV commercials were the worst because the phone numbers would pop up and some would not be divisible by three and then the show would come back on and I would be left hanging. I am glad I stopped doing that, it was exhausting.

I would look for similar weird patterns in license plates. Something I do unconsciously fairy often is draw things w/ my tongue on my inner lip. Like in highschool, I had one particular male teacher (who wasn't very nice but his wrinkles and face were fun to draw) and I would often draw him which he was talking...but I'll find myself drawing all sorts of things sometimes... ::shrug:: Dunno if anyone else does that?

Sometimes I look for patterns in anything. I keep trying to find a pattern in Pi!

When I think of numbers 1-10 they each have their own color, mostly lighter shades or pastels, but 5 is always bright red. Once I get past 10 the numbers have similar coloring to their single-digit counterparts (ie 16 is close to 6 in color) but the colors get deeper and more vivid the higher they are. But 15, 25, 35, etc are always the same bright red.

I have this for the months of the year, days of the week, certain words, and musical notes.
Its all red, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, brown, light blue, light green, etc.
Maybe I ate too many crayons as a kid?

BTW: all music has to be symetrical

I thought the same for colors as well and saw sounds as colors and assoicated colors for numbers. I think this sort of things is known as synastesia.

I've always thought numbers to be colors as well---to me, 4 is blue, for example. Wonder if we saw something as kids that imprinted these things on us to a degree...

To me, colors and numbers are interchangeable, but they are different at home and at work. Bonus points to anyone who recognizes either of these.

At work
0 green
1 pink
2 black
3 yellow
4 violet
5 red
6 grey
7 brown
8 blue
9 orange

At home
-2 silver
-1 gold
0 black
1 brown
2 red
3 orange
4 yellow
5 green
6 blue
7 violet
8 grey
9 white

That's weird, 5 has always been scarlet red for me too and it transfers its colour on some of the numbers which contain it - 15 and 25, but not 35, 45, 65, 75, 85 and 95 which I see as a composite of the corresponding colours of the first and second digit. That is, 3 - green, 4-light blue, 6- golden yellow, 7 - pink, 8 - violet and 9 - brown.

5 has always been red to me too. i never thought i'd say it out loud one day because it seemed so obvious and a strange thing to say lol. 1 is white. 2 is greenish (light) , 3 is light blue, 4 is green, definite, 6 is golden to me too, an orangeish bright yellow, 7 i see turquoise, 8 brown and 9 purple. they're different from yours but not that much.
for instance i always saw turquoise as something light hearted and fun, it's not far away from pink to me in what it means. ok well this is weird, not only we see colours, but almost the same ones.interrest alert.
