I had a major problem on an NT form once, I asked a question and people told me to find the answer myself instead of ask them, the person responding thought it was an obvious question, but I really had no idea. The question "What is a pinned thread?", they told me that my question was in the FAQ section of the site, it was, but they called a "pinned thread" a "sticky thread"; how was I supposed to know that was the same thing? I had other problems on that form to, like apparently, there was a site that all the members of the board seemed to like, but I didn't. They got EXTREMELY mad at me for not liking the site.
What was the site called?
I agree about this site though. It seems a lot more focused than other forums. People are a lot more understanding here too.
The site that I didn't like, that everyone else does, or the forum? The forum is a music forum, where everyone seems to act in the opposite way that the band is. The site I don't like has an inappropriate name but it's a site where a guy's friend all got together and made it, and started making fun of him in a "friendly way", to understand any of it, you got to be able to "read between the lines". Some NTs don't understand it!
The same members that attacked me, also attacked other members, but they are all nice to each other.
I don't have a whole lot of experience with NT forums (I'm still looking for an MMA forum that's not covered with things that need to be censored and censored now), but while I can tell you that the Zoo Tycoon community is quite welcoming, it's just as much fun to be a Christian there as it is on the PPR forum. Even if you put that you're a Christian in your signature, there are some major militant atheists who will use all the ad hominem attacks in their arsenal. I speak from experience.
