What will your whole life be if you don't have ASD?

MrXxx, I want to point out that whether or not you would call something a disability is not, then, dependent only on its severity. The life circumstances of the individual play a huge role in determining whether or not something causes any issues. The same person with the same AS traits could be, depending on life circumstances, completely disabled or capable of pursuing goals and contributing meaningfully to society without any more assistance than anyone else in their situation would get.
So, for me, I'm bad at socializing, but need it less; having spent a long time very deprived of contact and friends, I can say that that's one thing that kept me mostly sane, so it's good for me, even though in situations where would-be friends are more available, it's disabling and painful. Same two traits that, to my view, go hand in hand.

Again, whether you or anyone else is "disabled" isn't for me to say. Especially here on the forums. I don't know anyone here but myself well enough to say "yay" or "nay."
You, and everyone else here, know your own situations better than I do. Whether anyone might need assistance of any kind isn't dependent on my opinion, so my opinion doesn't really matter does it?
The real issue only comes up if one believes one needs help, and must convince those who are able to get them that help that they are indeed disabled. My opinion doesn't carry any weight in that situation. The person or persons who have access to the needed help does.
In my experience, so far, that boils down to whether or not one can make a living without financial or physical help. And that, when it comes to AS, is quite often a very difficult case to make. I would dare say that those who seek help, all the while proclaiming how satisfied they are with their AS, are going to have a much harder time proving their case to those who can offer the help, than those who describe consistently how negative AS is for them.
BTW: I wish it were not that way. It just seems to be the reality. It would be nice if those who administer the needed aid were better informed, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

As before when I first signed up here years ago, I'm finding that after a long hiatus, and after only a few days back on here, I'm spending way too much time here again already. So I'm requesting my account be locked, banned or whatever. It's just time. Until then, well, I dunno...
