Hi Zokk, My imagination sucks. I think it's because I had some crappy teachers in the elementary school.
I remember this teacher in the first year in elementary school who brought us a drawing of a duck so we could paint it. Everybody was painting it yellow.

We used to have a couple of ducks running free in our backyard, and they weren`t yellow at all! I have trouble understanding colors, so I though it would be cool to reproduce my ducks' colors. I drew some extra feathers to separate the head's color from the rest of the body's and painted the head one color and the body a different one. Like my ducks were.

As a toddler, I went proudly to show the teacher my painting. Another girl was showing hers at that moment and the teacher was very indulging towards the girl, she actually was good for her age at painting without passing the drawing lines, I wasn't at all, just like normal 6 years old kids.

So she was there congratulating the girl all smily, I aproached the teacher and I could see her terrified face when she saw my duck. Now, I don't remember at all the colors I chose, I still mistake colors today ( anybody does here at WP? ).

She looked at me with a face I still remember to be very angry ( plus her voice seemed very upset ) and asked me: "what is this?". I said: "my duck teacher". She said: "I've never seen a duck with these colors!!"
I said: "I never saw a yellow duck either teacher, and everybody's painting their ducks yellowish, chicken are yellow" I said.

So she angrilly got up and called the entire class attention and said, holding my drawing and the girl's drawing:
"class, this is how to paint", pointing to the girl's painting.
"and this is how NOT to paint", pointing to mine.

So, I was murdered that very day. My imagination was murdered.

... and yet, she was!

I told my mother about the issue with the teacher, she went bananas! She went to the school to complain with the school's dean and nothing was done to punish the teacher.

You'd be surprised to see how sh***y is the educational system in Brazil.

Yeah, and isn't that the usual way...
It's permissible to beat someone up mentally but so much as lightly smack their wrist and all hell breaks loose. (the "smack their wrist" thing is a huge no-no here in the UK)

Sadly, no longer as surprised as I might have been earlier.

Indeed Cornflake, indeed.

there was this other occasion when class just started, she was telling some kids how she bet they would learn to read real fast. Then I asked her: "how about me teacher?", then she said: "you won't".

I have a very good memory with things. I never forgot that occasion, though I didn't understand she was being mean and didn't really give a bullcrap about it, but later as I grew up and started learning about sarcasm and people's rudeness I understood that she didn't like me because I was the weirdo of the class.

Yeah, I hear you. I was the one the class bullies made straight for because I was such an easy target and the teachers weren't interested that at all. "Why don't you just fight back?" was about as useful as it got. Er, maybe because I can't fight back?
There was one teacher, though - a complete opposite to yours, who actively encouraged what I did - and she was like that with the other kids too. She's the only one I remember very well today, and it's just criminal the way that general education has become a mechanical production line.

I am not proud of anything I do. But on the topic of doing things well I am very good at writing essays and such without actually knowing anything about what I am talking about.

Languages is one of big interests too, and indeed one of my talents!

My languages are:

English, French, German, Polish, Modern Greek, Ancient Greek and Latin

Apart from that I seem to be good at playing instruments, and especially piano sightreading for some reason!

I'm not sure how you would classify this but, I've been able to build computer systems from motherboard up, including installation of any OS and other software apps..
